A speciality of mine is Business English, so I can also help with everything from preparing for an interview or speaking in meetings, to giving a presentation. While my classes are 100% in English, I can also speak Dutch and Spanish. This gives me a real insight as to why students make certain mistakes, and how to best avoid them.

Trusted teacher: About my tutoring: In my tutoring sessions, I will work with students to help them achieve their best grades. A typical lesson will include understanding content, mastering exam technique, and attempting and improving past exam question answers. I believe the best way to learn is in an active and engaging way, so this is how my classes will be, with lots of discussions and active recall to ensure understanding and embedding of knowledge and skill is maximised. About me: I am a current undergraduate student studying biology and chemistry at Cambridge University, so I understand the difficulty and pressure of exams and want to help students prepare and take away some of that worry and stress. I have also had experience teaching science in high school, so have deep-rooted knowledge surrounding science education. I truly understand the best ways to prepare and revise for GCSEs and A Levels, and have straight grade 9s and A*s to prove this. I have over two years experience in tutoring and have real in-classroom experience of teaching science in secondary school, so am equipped to help students achieve their best.

Very sweet lady who is always asking how she can improve and cater her lessons towards your personal needs! Knows very well the French language and not on a fluent level, but also the technicalities behind it. Is willing to take time with you and work on your mistakes, as well as trying to explain some French key moments that are difficult to understand for foreign language speakers in a way that is understandable. Always makes sure to challenge you and sees how you can improve! Had a very lovely experience :)

Even though I'm married to a US citizen and have been speaking English at home and work for years, I felt I was no longer improving until I started regular lessons with Tom. The lessons are incredibly helpful. I am very much interested in improving my grasp of idiom and usage. Tom is very good at finding my mistakes and helping me to improve my English. He's also very reliable, and he's flexible regarding the timings of the meetings. It's a fun experience, and I highly recommend Tom!

The first lesson with Hajra went very well and my 11 years old daughter did immediately connect with her. She was able to make the learning enjoyable and interactive, which gave my daughter a good feeling. This is very important as my daughter need an emotional connection to feel comfortable asking questions and keep motivated. Hajra also seem experienced, competent and knowledgeable. I have high hopes for the future lessons...thanks!
