I introduce children to acoustic or electric guitar playing, and can teach anything from the basics of how to hold a guitar to how to play intermediate songs. Once basic skills are established, for young children I can teach nursery rhymes such as Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and for anyone I can teach songs from famous bands (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, etc) or at the request of the student.

About Me

Hi, my name is Chris. I'm from Ireland, but grew up mostly in Abu Dhabi. I studied the IB curriculum for all of middle and high school. My hobbies include playing guitar, making music, drawing, design, and understanding physics and psychology.

Education

Graduated the IBDP with a 34, with HL Physics, HL Psychology, HL Visual Art. Studying at the Architectural Institute in Prague. I have also studied a range of Physics during my year studying Engineering at KU Leuven.

Over a decade learning guitar. Over a year teaching guitar to children as young as 5 years old, up to age 13 thus far. I graduated from the highest grade of the Trinity Rock & Pop programme, grade 8, with a Distinction Score.

I offer recorder lessons adapted to your (or your child's) needs and interests. Beginner or advanced student, folk songs, classical music, jazz or other styles. I assist my students on their way to learn music, learning what they wish and help them discover what they like while having fun. I like to concentrate on developing the ability to play by ear which I think is important for any musician.

Dobry den! I am a new expat to Prague, and I am looking to teach kids or adults of any age to start playing guitar, and learn a little conversational English in the process. The lesson format would look something like this:

- We go over guitar basics - chords, scales, form, etc.
- We pick a few songs of your choosing (or I can select some classic songs) that we can work through until you can play them all the way through.
- We continue learning as much as you'd like!

Born in San Diego California and raised in Hawaii, Miles has studied classical guitar and contemporary music since childhood. His musical experiences have ranged both from performing and recording Reggae, Blues, Rock, Pop, Metal, Afro and World Beat to accompanying Jazz bands and classical ensembles. Miles continues his musical career and studies of Classical-Flamenco guitar in Europe where he has been living and teaching for the past ten years. Teacher since the age of seventeen.
