We work on technique, music reading, and interpretation through repertoire suited to your experience. Music theory is connected to practical playing, helping you understand the music you learn.
For beginners, the focus is on building solid foundations and gaining confidence at the keyboard. For those who already play, we can explore tone, coordination, phrasing, and specific challenges within the pieces you are studying.
I aim to create a relaxed environment where you can ask questions and experiment, with clear explanations and achievable goals. My experience as a concert pianist, teacher, and collaborative pianist allows me to support students with different backgrounds and interests.
Lessons are available in person in Lisbon or online, in English, Portuguese, Russian, or Ukrainian.

About Me
My name is Alexander Stretile, and I am a concert pianist, collaborative pianist, and piano teacher.
I have taught piano at Conservatório Artallis, worked as a collaborative pianist at the University of Aveiro, and held an Invited Assistant Lecturer position at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas in Castelo Branco, with collaborative piano duties.
As a soloist, I have performed with the Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa, Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, and Orquestra Clássica do Centro. My awards include first prizes at the Coimbra World Piano Meeting and the Professor Dichler Competition in Vienna.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Performance from the University of Aveiro and am currently completing a master's degree in Music Education at the same institution.
I enjoy helping students understand their challenges and discover new possibilities at the piano. In my teaching, I bring together technical and musical development with the enjoyment of learning and playing.
