As a pianist and musician with 20 years of experience, I offer classes that are adapted to you, your age, your proficiency level, and your preferences.
Whether you want to learn through techniques, songs, or theory, whether you're an adult or you're looking for your kids, whether you have experience with music or not, whether you're into classical music or pop and rock, I'm here for you!
My session lasts one hour, at my place or yours (for a fee), and includes exercises and tips that are adapted to you. The class is fun and playful while keeping your improvement as its main objective.

About Me

I started music and piano at the age of four. Since then, I have been one of the main leader of my secondary school music club then the pianist of my high school band. I also participated to three editions of a masterclass for young musicians.
During Covid, I started composing to put my theory to practice. Lately, I started taking drum classes to never stop learning.
Music is a very important aspect of my life and I want to share it with the world!

Education

My educational background is in management. I have an undergraduate degree in finance from the South Mediterranean University in my home country Tunisia and a Master's in Management from IESE Business School, Madrid, Spain.

I teach music theory for all levels; whether from the explanation of what a scale is to writing techniques and classical or jazz harmony.

Having studied music at the Massenet Conservatory in Saint-Étienne (France) and through the Electroacoustics minor at Concordia, I have 18 years of experience with the instrument and 10 years of orchestral practice. The courses aim to support the instrumentalist in their development, as well as in their first steps, including the basics of music theory and ear training.

Graduated with a Diploma of Professional and Advanced Studies and a Master's degree in piano performance at the University of Montreal, I also obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies with A+ mention from the Jacques Thibaud Conservatory of Bordeaux in France. Nadine holds a B.F.A. in Integrative Music Studies from Concordia University with a focus on guitar. She has been a certified teacher at Montreal Academy since 2009.

As a vibrant presence in Montreal’s music scene, Nadine performs regularly with her solo project as well as with various local and international artists. Her musical journey began at the age of five, inspired by her grandmother's Arabic piano classics. She transitioned to guitar during high school, where she played in rock bands, and continued her studies in jazz and classical guitar at CEGEP and university. Over the past six years, she has delved into the oud, integrating it into her original compositions.

With 26 years of teaching experience, Nadine offers instruction in a diverse range of styles, including Pop, Funk, Blues, Rock, R&B, Jazz, and Classical. Whether you aim to learn an instrument, write songs, prepare for an audition, or explore creativity across various musical genres, Nadine provides the tools and guidance needed to achieve your goals. Hello! I use different learning methods depending on the profile of each student. In all cases, I transmit a real working method that will be useful for your entire life as a musician! I usually divide the course into 2 parts, with a more technical part (warming up the hand and working on left hand agility, small exercises on the problems you might encounter), and a more musical part with the pieces. If you don't know how to read scores, I can also teach music theory or use an auditory learning method! I also often suggest playing in a duet, because music is above all a sharing :)

My teaching experience is varied: I have taught very young beginners (4 years old) and less young, and I also take care of the improvement of more advanced students! I also offer support in addition to courses at conservatories for example. I have been offering courses for 4 years now and I have always had excellent feedback from long-time students! :)

If you are interested in composing, don't hesitate! I work for film music and I was assistant to a composer in Hollywood. I also won many international awards for my projects.
