My name is Apolline, I am a 26-year-old flautist and I am studying in the first year of a didactic master at the Royal Conservatory of Liège. I love to teach, and I used to be a flute teacher, I even started teaching when I was 17! I am passionate about transmitting my passion, and whatever your level, beginner or advanced, I will always try to bring you the maximum so that you can evolve with your instrument. I can also teach you the basics you need in music theory to play whatever you want!

I am passionate about the body and the breath: I was able to participate and be trained in music therapy in France at the "Léthée Musicale" institute in Lyon, and I also have some knowledge of the "TIMANI" method of body awareness that I was able to discover in Oslo, Norway. I see the flute as a well-being, a connection with one's own body and one's listening. Ideal for young children, whether for concentration or synchronization, but also for adults, who are rarely used to listening to themselves...
Extra information
I do not provide the instrument, but I can help you choose a flute and find a reliable place / site to buy it.

About Me
My name is Apolline, I am a 26-year-old flautist and I am studying in the first year of a didactic master at the Royal Conservatory of Liège. I can also teach you the basics you need in music theory to play whatever you want!

I am passionate about the body and the breath: I was able to participate and be trained in music therapy in France at the "Léthée Musicale" institute in Lyon, and I also have notions of the "TIMANI" method of body awareness that I was able to discover in Oslo, Norway. I see the flute as a sense of well-being, a connection with one's own body and one's listening. Ideal for young children, whether for concentration or synchronization, but also for adults, who are rarely used to listening to themselves ...

I am also a specialist in chamber music, since I play professionally with my ensemble in Brussels (the EtCaetera quintet, also engaged at the educational level since 2018 since we are part of the Jeunesses Musicales team of the Wallonia-Brussels federation). I am convinced that music is even more joyful to many! I therefore encourage the practice with several, in groups, if it is possible.

In addition to the courses I currently give in Liège with the non-profit organization ReMuA, I regularly perform with various Belgian ensembles (Brussels Philarmonic Orchestra, The Antwerpen Camerata) and have been able to perform within the Belgian National Orchestra as a substitute for their 2019/2020 season.

Courses in French, English, and also in Spanish.
Education
Of French origin, I came to Belgium when I was 19 to study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels a Bachelor, then a Master, which I was able to complete with a year of Erasmus in Norway, in Oslo.
Since then, I have been studying in the Netherlands, which allows me to discover another educational system, but also in Liège, where I now live, a master's degree dedicated to pedagogy.

Hello and welcome !

Passionate about sharing music, I offer children and teenagers personalized guidance to discover or deepen their musical knowledge. As a professional musician with a Conservatory diploma (classical instrumental training and music theory), I bring to your children my experience of over five years in a music tutoring program, enriched by many years of teaching. It is a true joy to see my young students progress and flourish with each session!

My goal is to offer your child a creative, adaptive, and stimulating teaching method. No prior knowledge of music theory is necessary: the theory is learned naturally, directly through instrumental practice.
Each 60-minute session is designed to respect the student's pace and learning style. I continuously adjust the lesson based on your child's level of concentration and energy. A break of at least 5 minutes is included in each session to allow for gentle assimilation of concepts, discussion, and to maintain the enjoyment of learning without fatigue. Through engaging tools and varied materials, my teaching approach makes each lesson captivating and motivating.

To foster your child's development throughout the year, we will work together to set goals tailored to their pace. You will benefit from clear tracking tools to monitor their progress, along with regular meetings to discuss their development. My role is to provide a safe and inspiring environment where they can develop their independence, technique, self-confidence, and artistic expression.
