Acting Classes from The West End. For Beginners and Pros alike.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi there My name is Phil and I am a professional Actor and Musician who is still very active in the professional industry. I'm here to share some of the knowledge, experience, and skills that I have learned after 3 years of training (Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts) and over 14 years of professional experience. I have worked extensively in a wide range of areas within the industry and have experience in the West End (The Lion King, Once), TV (Red Dwarf, Diagnosis), Voice Over (various Video Games), Touring and International theatre, devising and even using my skills to train people in the corporate sector. I am also a singer, musician and puppeteer. I offer a no-fuss, no-pretension, welcoming approach that invites everyone to sharpen their skills or take their first steps into the world of Acting. To this end, I also co-founded Acting Unlocked, an Acting coaching service offering 8-week workshops and one-on-one classes as well as Masterclasses in more specific areas. I also teach workshops at a number of top London-based Drama Schools. I'd love to hear from you and work towards your goals in the Acting world whether that's to get into Drama School, sharpen your skills as a professional or even just introduce you to Acting for the first time. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thanks! Phil

Lessons with the Drummist - learn how to approach the drum kit from zero (or not) and how to self-improve through rhythmTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Lessons with the Drummist - learn how to approach the drum kit from zero (or not) and how to self-improve through rhythmTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Do you want to make people dance when you play? Is there that crazy drum part you just can't get right? Do you wish to manage the dynamics, the space, the sound of a song? Do you need help to prepare exams? ..(....) Well, there's no one way to do things, and everybody has strengths and weaknesses. So, I propose we see together what is it that doesn’t come out just like you’d want it, and let’s find the right solution for you! My priority as a teacher is to nurture my student’s passion for music. It is essential that playing the drums remains, above all, a fun and stimulating experience, and that studying is a consequence of this passion. Therefore I am devoted to fostering one's desire to improve, and I do provide all the tools necessary to overcome the challenges that you may face along the way. My study program is holistic and is always tailored to your needs, your inclinations and your objectives. All ages, all levels and all music tastes are welcome! Some of the topics I like to cover: - ergonomics, balance, grip - brute technique and the rudiments - hands and feet coordination - the styles; style-chorent fills and variations - the groove, the timing and the slowness - reading and memory, the mental map - copy the greats, listen to the records - finding the sound - playing with others and musicianship

History of Art for A-Level, Bachelor's and Beginners!Translate this text using Google Translate.

One of the main goals I try to achieve as a tutor is to encourage my students to explore the world around them from a new perspective. With 1-1 teaching, I am able to create lessons that are specifically tailored to my student's interests, weaknesses and concerns and from this nurture a solid learning style that they will be able to take with them to further education. Currently, I am studying for my second degree in History of Art and have strong and extensive knowledge in structuring essays and approaches to the humanities. Honing and improving essay writing skills will prove invaluable to students when reaching higher education and exams which I believe my tutelage would help with! I usually have a methodical approach to learning where each lesson is planned out with upcoming exams, weak subjects and repeated mistakes in mind. I always find that my students work better when they have small and achievable goals to reach in each session. As an example, my lessons are structured with upcoming homework as a first target with each subject's homework being one goal smashed. After that, revision or any marked work with mistakes/problem areas is looked into and divided into sections/goals that they can achieve. I usually create a points system where with enough points they win a small prize. This is not a requirement of my teaching but I find it works very well! I also discuss with parents before starting tutorials what they know to be their weaker academic points, how best they respond to teaching and any feedback they may have from teachers with regard to the work outside school. Lessons are always planned with the student's learning style in mind and I am always open to adapting and receiving feedback from parents, teachers and students. Should a student find my teaching style, not to their liking, I will always be happy to change and amend my style to fit them.

Enthusiastic violin teacher for all levels - Graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Royal Conservatoire of AntwerpTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I am a versatile, enthusiastic and dedicated violin teacher, taking on students of all levels and ages from beginner to highly advanced. Being an internationally performing violinist, with a masters degree from both the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, I have a lot of knowledge and experience that I’ve been sharing with students over the past years and that I’d love to share with more! A big part of my teaching has developed through my own learning journey with the violin. In learning the violin, I value the importance of technique as well as creative, musical development. During a lesson I will therefore touch on technical exercises according to the students needs, improvisation to stimulate creativity and work on musical pieces. We will, during weekly lessons, work towards reaching the student’s goals with high quality results. My approach is tailored to each individual student and above all, encouraging. I have a wide knowledge of the violin repertoire and am happy to work on a student’s piece of choice as well as suggest suitable works for different levels. Additionally, I have experience working towards ABRSM grade exams amongst other assessments. I can fluently teach in English, Dutch and French.
