I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I come from Ukraine and have a diploma from a completed 8-year piano, music theory and choir degree from Russian and Ukrainian musical academies. I am very proud of the educational background I have since my teachers had always been very strict yet fair with their ways of teaching, which gave me a strong base as a musician, and, later on, as a tutor. Moreover, I have studied psychology here in Spain for 3 years at a university, so I get on well with many different personalities and know how to approach stressful situations.

He currently lives in Barcelona (Spain) where he mainly teaches rock, jazz and flamenco. In fact, his studies range from jazz (he has 2 degrees in jazz guitar) to flamenco. In Barcelona Pierpaolo attends the ESMUC conservatory. "I am Pierpaolo, a professional guitarist with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Jazz Guitar (110 cum laude) and with experience studying other styles such as blues, rock, pop, funk, latin, fusion, flamenco. Graduated in Music, with experience in both the classical repertoire (Baroque, Classicism, Romanticism) and modern and popular music styles (Jazz, pop, rock), I offer my services to give piano and keyboard lessons, for all ages, children and adults from initiation to the instrument to intermediate/advanced. The classes are oriented so that students can play from the first day. And in this way they enjoy the learning process, complemented with other subjects such as musical language, harmony and improvisation.

I am a pianist who graduated with honors from the "U. Giordano" Conservatory in Foggia, with a Master's degree in Classical Performance from the ESMUC in Barcelona, and currently a professor at the Vic Conservatory (Catalonia). Throughout my career, I have combined concert performance with teaching, working with students of various ages and levels, from beginners to musicians in professional training. My teaching approach is based on personalized learning, integrating technique, expression, and artistic development.

I am convinced that teaching is a mutual process of growth and discovery. My experience and training in music pedagogy have allowed me to develop a flexible approach tailored to the needs of each student, always seeking to motivate and support students in their musical development.

Karen has performed with ensembles such as the Amazonas Chamber Orchestra, Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra, Corona Symphony, La Cañada Symphony, and the Korean American Young Symphony, appearing at venues including the Amazon Theater, Zipper Hall, Royce Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

In Los Angeles, she contributed to recordings for Amazon Prime’s Cross, Netflix’s Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, and NASA’s 25th anniversary album “X Into Darkness”, recorded at Sony Pictures. She also appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, The Voice America, and the CBS Family Awards.

Beyond performing, Karen is passionate about teaching. She has taken part in music festivals such as Gramado in Concert (Brazil) and directs the educational program “Cello in Concert” at Smart Music School in California. Her teaching approach blends solid technique, musicality, and expressive freedom — helping each student build confidence and joy through the cello.
