About Me
Hi everyone, welcome. My name is Paulina, and I am a 500HR certified yoga teacher with an interest in flexibility and emotional wellbeing.

I started my own personal practice in 2020, during Covid which motivated me to seek solace in my mind and body during a stressful period.

I have a special interest in writing & ballet. I have been writing a journal & poetry ever since I was little and dance has been a recent passion in adulthood.

I hope to see you in my class!

I’m a self-employed yoga teacher freshly installed in London. I teach vinyasa yoga as slow or fast paced as you need, with a strong focus on intertwining the rich yoga philosophy with the physical practice.

I trained as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher in San Francisco at Laughing Lotus (now renamed Lotusland Yoga) with Jasmine Tarkeshi and Brima Jah. This teacher training was life changing for me, and as I soaked in Jasmine & Brima’s knowledge, kindness and values, I strengthened my own yoga practice and developed my own way of sharing yoga with others.

My approach to teaching can be summarized in three major commitments:
- honouring yoga’s roots: I use both sanskrit and english names for asanas, I’m passionate about yoga mythology and love sharing the stories behind my favorite shapes
- offering teachings that represent the whole yoga philosophy: yoga is so much more than a workout, my classes always have an intention to them, they tend to be focused on one or two of the chakras and include at least another of the eight limbs (pranayama, one of the yamas or niyamas, meditation...)
- making my classes accessible to various communities and identities: yoga is for all! I offer many options in every asana to make them accessible to all bodies, I always encourage practitioners to rest as needed and follow their own pace, and I avoid using gendered cues that are inherently exclusive.

I’ve lived in many places and I've worked as a medical imaging software engineer for six years. A year ago, I quit my job and spent a sabbatical year with my partner, traveling Europe in our van. This year-long journey taught me so much and reinforced my confidence that I want yoga to be a major part of my life (both professional and personal). So as we settle into our new home in London, I’m taking this opportunity to focus on my career as a yoga teacher.

This class is dedicated to all those who wish to calm the nervous system and work on rooting themselves in the present moment. Connecting with the body and its language. A combination of yoga and somatic techniques that help us understand how our body works and its relationship with the mind.

For all levels, because we're not looking for virtuosity in complicated positions, but to refine our perception, communication and understanding of our ‘total self’.

We'll use asanas and pranayama, as well as micromovements and meditation. Everyone is welcome!

A perfect class if you're going through a period of stress or a lot of mental activity or worry, if you lead a very sedentary life, or simply if you want to relax and move your body.

The purpose of those classes is education, not on the superficial level of mimicking form, but on a profoundly deep level of understanding the full use of the body as an integral whole to maximize full function of each individual's unique movement potential.

The aim is toward maximum physicality in function and overall health as well as a state of relaxation and a stimulation of the body's energy centres and meridians that is revitalising and
healing.

The benefits of yoga also include gaining flexibility and working on breathing skills concentration, balance, endurance, muscular and vital strength, as well as strengthening the nervous system and immune system.

The content and dynamics of the practices will be adapted to your experience, needs, age, and specific circumstances, seeking to gain the greatest possible benefit.

I have experience working with and teaching beginners and people with little experience of physical work as well as children in the field of dance, acting movement, and yoga.

If you feel that there's more to life, if you feel that there's something missing, or you're feeling stuck in some way, our meditation sessions can help elevate, give clarity and move you forward.

MY APPROACH:
*My sessions are for ALL levels and ALL ages (assessed on a case-by-case basis), I will meet you for the lessons where you're at.

*All sessions are tailored around your needs. When working with me, you have my full energy and attention. I'm here for the sole purpose of assisting you.

*Heart-led approach: as a space holder I'm here to receive you in a completely non-judgemental and compassionate way. It's my job to make you feel safe and I will be there to guide you through anything you want to explore in these sessions.

~

Meditation is the Root, but there are many branches that may be required for an individual's development. This is why I like to incorporate various modalities (as needed) such as:
*qigong
*breathwork/pranayama
*somatic movement
*holistic bodywork
*strength conditioning
*sound healing
*plus advisories regarding nutrition, lifestyle, and more...

The core of my approach is that which has been taught by all ancient traditions: the path of Self-Awareness. Through self-awareness we can live with clarity and authenticity.

Before we can feel safe, stable and not be in a reactionary state, we must clear and re-balance the mind. Then we are in a position to gain new insights and open up to new possibilities.

The biggest problem in today’s world is focus. Most of us are on autopilot 95% of the time (this is proven by the latest neuroscience). We must develop our concentration by having a meditation practice and being mindful during our day.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
A central part of my practice is sharing, discussion, reflection. Sessions are usually oriented around a certain topic of discussion/sharing, where you would bring a specific question, topic or issue to explore further. We may start (or end) with a tea (with optional assistive herbs), and see where it takes us.

Using meditation/discussion as a starting point, intuitively I will guide the session along its natural trajectory, incorporating different things as required.

Everyone is different, every day is different ~ so we just go with the flow of what the present moment asks of us.

WORKING WITH ME ON A DEEPER LEVEL:
I have limited spaces for working more closely 1:1 - for those looking for a deep recalibration and transformation. The extent of this offering is a full blueprint that comes from my life’s work of spiritual training, study and holistic life design.

Sharing with you my philosophy and principles, and many years of experience - for the right people I am available for this level of mentorship.

I do not subscribe to a specific religion, but I'm so very grateful to be able to draw upon the timeless wisdom of such venerated traditions:

Various ancient lineages of Yoga
Advaita Vedanta
Buddhism (Zen, Theravada, etc.)
Taoism (Water Method)
Sufism
Mystic Christian tradition
... and many more.

Wishing you total fulfilment and prosperity in this life,
Vincent
