I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

Hi everyone! I am a viola player from Belarus. I completeness my bachelor degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague and currently doing my masters in HKU Utrechts Conservatorium. As well as playing viola, I have a lot of knowledge about music theory, as it was accompanying me through my entire career. I would be very happy to share my knowledge with music enthusiasts of all ages and levels. Let’s create music together!

The class is for: - beginners who want to start their journey in music - intermediary musicians who wish to improve their skills - for highly educated musicians who want to perfect their knowledge. The class includes songwriting skills in POP, ROCK, JAZZ and many other styles of popular music as well as compositional skills in writing CLASSICAL, FILM, THEATER music. I specialize in both popular music and classical music. The class includes both theoretic knowledge and its practical application with students instrument of choice. The class also includes skills in guitar, piano and percussion playing.

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory. I work with all ages, all levels, and all objectives, and I can even work with other brass. If you want to discover the instrument or perfect it, if you need theory support or practice help, I will adapt my methods to your needs to offer you quality musical time! I have taught children and adults since 2017, and I truly love leading people their way to enjoyable, musical, and informed brass playing. My lessons include warmups, technique, working on pieces of various repertoire, playing in duo with me, and more. Enthusiastic guitar tutor and performer. I started playing classical guitar at the age of 6, and my formal musical education began at the age of 9 when I started attending a music school in Croatia. After 6 years of primary school, I continued studying classical guitar at a secondary music school in Varazdin, Croatia. During that period I received training in classical harmony, Counterpoint (polyphony), Solfeggio, Music history and gained plenty of experience in orchestral playing and choral singing. I decided to continue my musical education in Manchester where I was studying for an undergraduate degree at the Royal Northern College of Music and currently I am studying at the Royal Conservatoire in the Hague. As a performing guitarist, I have successfully participated and won prizes in a number of international competitions in the UK, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. Although my studies are primarily related to classical music, I am comfortable playing and performing music in a range of other styles and genres. I am also experienced with mandolin and Croatian folk instrument called tamburitza.

Dominyka is a professional singing and piano teacher that teaches at her music school or at student’s home. She has over 8 years of experience in teaching. Dominyka taught over 400+ students from 4 years old to 70+ years old. As a teacher, her mission goes beyond teaching you how to sing or play; she instills confidence and encourages individuality. Important to mention that as a musician: a singer, singing and piano teacher that is currently based in The Hague - she also graduated a music school in violin and writes music. Over the past decade she graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Netherlands with Bachelor's and Master's degree in jazz singing and in pedagogical minor studies. In addition - completed a certificate of good conduct (VOG). I am very communicative and patient. As I hear from my students, they say that they enjoy my classes very much! And I promise you, that you will learn a lot in engaging and fun manner! I believe that each student should embrace what they would love to play, and I would consider to be open to what student wishes to play. I am very adaptable with my teaching methods to each individual because everybody process information differently. You can expect to have a great time, and learn each lesson something new. Anything that is part of a fundamental understanding of music, e.g. music theory, solfège, rhythm and piano will be taught. For me it is very important that the lessons is specifically made for the students regarding content and length. If asked violin and ballett can be taught as well. In that way the necessary aspects of a well rounded musician can be built up.

Highly dedicated and passionate teacher. Age does not matter when it comes to learning, just enjoying it. Lessons for beginners to more advanced students. Always trying to keep a creative environment where the students can express themselves in all aspects. I believe that it is necessary to be constant. The ideal would be one hour or hour and a half a week, but that depends on the student availability. I would provide a personal adaptation. I like playing games, singing and coming up to most creative solutions for learning fast inside of a save space for questions and imagination of the student. It is very important to motivate the students regarding to their music tastes. I consider myself an involved and motivated musician. I am constantly trying to learn new styles and enjoy so much doing it. At the moment I am studying my second bachelor degree in music, specifically in Early Music. I am very flexible with schedules for lessons so coming to a common point should not be very difficult.

My name is Carla Peña and I come from Barcelona. Since I was a child, music has played an important role in my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6. I discovered my love for music and that is what I share with my students. I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place! If you are in The Hague area and you want to learn the cello or improve your playing, you are welcome to do lessons with me! FIRST LESSON: The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste. TECHNIQUE: Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge. In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly! Playing together is an essential part of enjoying music. Therefore, the last part of the lesson always consists of playing cello duets and having fun! ABOUT ME: I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota. During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship at the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain. Currently, I teach private students in The Hague and I created a cultural center in The Hague called Pandora Studio. I play regularly in two chamber music ensembles: Trio Jakob and Azalaïs Quartet.

I'm a professionally educated bass guitarist and teacher from Hungary, currently residing in The Hague with a freshly earned Master's degree from the Royal Conservatoire. As an active musician since 2014, I've played in a variety of musical settings, from solo performances to big bands and orchestras. My musical pursuits span across jazz (free and fusion), metal, repetitive minimal music, and contemporary classical genres. Beyond performing, I'm deeply passionate about teaching. I began sharing my knowledge during my bachelor's studies and have continued ever since. In addition to bass, I've extensively studied composition and theory. Violin/viola privet lessons for all levels and ages! I am a viola and violin teacher who graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with a specialization in Education, as a three-year minor course as part of the Bachelor of Music. Teacher at Strijkdomain (The Hague), Conservatory in The Hague, Vuurvlinderschool, Geldelandschool en a Het Klooster (Woerden). I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making. I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces. Come and have a lesson with me!

The ability to improvise is not a natural skill that we are born with. It is an understandable chain of tools that can be learned and practiced into performance. Improvisation is something that requires discipline as much as freedom, and in fact, it stems from the understanding of sounds, the music's natural grammar. Violin is mostly seen as a melodic instrument but it can be otherwise. Outside of the classical world, rhythm reigns and the violin can be a leading rhythmical instrument too, providing solid grooves and accompaniments or challenging your fellow musicians with percussive sounds. Furthermore, to be proficient in specific styles, it is not enough to just play scales and patterns but it is necessary to learn the colors of the proper harmonical framework which is part of an idiom. In 10 years of teaching, I developed an approach that rethinks the function of fingerboard visualization allowing you to transpose in any key with great facility and to understand the logic behind the shapes of any chord on the fingerboard. In these lessons, I will help you to rethink the violin out of the box, as a powerful rhythmical and harmonical instrument while deepening your melodic ability (soloing) related to the styles you want to play: Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Pop, Rock, Brazilian, World Music. [According to the style we will also be working with loops and effects] This class is designed for musicians who already know the basics of violin techniques but addresses both beginner and advanced players in relation to the field of improvised music. The lessons will be custom made for each student. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player I will work to adapt to your learning rhythm while keeping you challenged at the same time.
