About Me
I’m Hana, a violinist and violist who loves sharing the joy of music with others. In my lessons, I focus on creating a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere where students can grow at their own pace and feel confident exploring their musical voice. My approach is patient, positive, and individually tailored—whether we’re working on technique, musical expression, or music theory. Most of all, I want students to feel inspired and enjoy making music.
Education
I began my musical education at the age of four with Professor Zorica Todorović, and at six I entered her class in the elementary school program at the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor. Around the same time, I developed a passion for music theory and solfeggio, studying with Professor Andreja Pak. I later continued my musical path at the Art Gymnasium of the Conservatory.
Throughout my studies, I have participated in numerous regional, national, and international competitions in violin and solfeggio, earning top prizes at events such as TEMSIG, Jaz imam pa goslice, the International Music Competition, the International Young Musicians Competition Antonio Salieri Prize, Međunarodno takmičenje iz solfeggia, IMMCC, IMKA Music Competition, and the UK International Music Competition.
In my third year of gymnasium, after passing the entrance exam for preparatory studies, I began expanding my violin training with Professor Anke Schittenhelm (KUG). In February 2023, I successfully passed the entrance examinations for the IGP (Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy) program.
I have gained extensive stage experience in Slovenia and abroad. I have performed in the Union Hall in Maribor, the Knight’s Hall in Maribor, presented solo recitals at the Tabor branch of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor (2019) and again in the Knight’s Hall (2023), and appeared at the Karol Pahor Music School in Ptuj and the Monastery of St. Peter and Paul in Ptuj, among other venues. In the 2022/2023 school year, I served as concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music and Ballet Maribor under the direction of Slavko Magdić.
Internationally, I have performed at class concerts of Professor Anke Schittenhelm and with the LJSO orchestra, appearing in Fürstenfeld, Ramsau am Dachstein, Veszprém, Budapest, and Nice after successfully passing the orchestra’s audition. In November 2023, I also passed the audition for YOAA under the baton of conductor Julian Rachlin.
