Hello !
Passionate and highly motivated, I offer tailor-made cello or baroque cello lessons, adapted to your organization, your personality and your desires.
If you are looking for varied, supportive learning at your own pace, you are in the right place.
For me, it is essential to give you the technical tools to approach the music you love with complete peace of mind. This learning process involves an analytical approach to body control and a refined awareness of movement. Drawing inspiration from the Alexander Technique and breath work, I help you find deep relaxation with the instrument. To achieve this, I create personalized exercises based on my own technical research. In addition, I utilize recognized progressive methods to solidify your foundation (Feuillard's Young Cellist Method, Valérie Aimard's CelloKids, Yampolsky, etc.).
Then... it's time for the music of your dreams and sharing! Technique is simply a tool at the service of music. Alongside the fundamental work, we'll emphasize the joy of playing the repertoire of your choice: we'll work on the music you truly love. If a score doesn't exist or proves too complex, I'll create custom arrangements especially for you! But of course, music is first and foremost about sharing. I'll regularly accompany you in duets during our lessons to develop your listening skills and musicality.
Indeed, playing together is very stimulating. Furthermore, I can occasionally organize meetings between students who wish to participate, giving you the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and play together in a friendly atmosphere.
If you are passionate about early music, please note that I also offer lessons in Baroque cello. Whether you wish to begin or improve your skills on a historical instrument (gut strings, Baroque bow), or explore this specific repertoire with the aesthetics and phrasing of the period on your modern cello, I would be delighted to guide you in your learning.
Feel free to contact me to discuss your musical preferences. I look forward to meeting you and starting this adventure together!

About Me
Dear future students, in order to better understand why I teach, I am taking the liberty of attaching a short biography that was written about me before addressing you more specifically.
"A young Franco-Belgian cellist of 20, Kiara Boldu is a passionate musician whose stage presence combines vivacity and profound sensitivity. After graduating from the Bordeaux Regional Conservatory (CRR) with a Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM), she furthered her studies at the Rueil-Malmaison Regional Conservatory (CRR) under Véronique Marin before entering the Geneva University of Music (HEM) to study baroque cello in Bruno Cocset's class. Eager to explore new sounds, she has also enriched her playing thanks to the invaluable guidance of cellists such as Mathieu Lejeune, Elena Andreyev, Fabien Genthialon, David Pia, Angèle Legasa, and Justus Grimm."
An eclectic musician, Kiara has a strong affinity for early music: playing both the baroque cello and the viola da gamba, she has performed with the Hexaton ensemble academy and particularly enjoys accompanying singers with basso continuo. Her open-mindedness also leads her to contemporary creation, whether working with Marie-Bernadette Charrier or participating in multidisciplinary performances such as the Artisans du voyage project within the "D'ici Danse" festival.
Deeply committed to the collective dimension of music, Kiara regularly performs in various orchestral ensembles, both symphonic and baroque. While her selection for the Centre Youth Orchestra in 2025 testifies to this enthusiasm, it is truly in chamber music that she finds the essence of her practice, a privileged space for mutual listening and stylistic exploration, particularly within the newly formed "Aéria duo" which she created in 2026 with Eponine Mélin.
My goal is to convey a message of listening, sharing, and peace, both through concerts and through my teaching. Above all, I love seeing a student flourish in their expression and individuality, thanks to the technical resources I can provide.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please feel free to contact me!
See you soon
