From 123.23 C$ /h
Dear parents, dear students,
I offer cello lessons for children from 4 years old, for teenagers and for adults, whatever their level.
With 10 years of experience in teaching cello, I adapt to the specific objectives of each student. One of my main educational objectives is to awaken and nourish the pleasure of playing music while ensuring structured learning.
I taught cello for 6 years at the Geneva Conservatory of Music and 5 years at the Vincent-d'Indy Music School in Montreal and I am committed to creating a learning environment where pleasure and musical progression go hand in hand, whether you are a beginner or already have some practice.
Teaching options:
• At home
• In my studio in Arzier, located next to the train station.
Recommended timing by age:
• Children 4-6 years: 30 minutes per week
• Children 7-9 years old: 45 minutes per week
• 10 years and older (adolescents and adults): 1 hour per week
• Students preparing for auditions (pre-professional): 2 lessons per week
Music theory and musical training will be included in the course.
I would be delighted to meet you and share this wonderful musical adventure!
Looking forward,
Yana

Extra information
If you are an adult and want to try for a few months before finding your cello, I recommend renting it. Write to me for more information, I will be happy to guide you in your search for an instrument.
For children, renting is also a great option, especially when the child is still growing. Indeed, cellos come in different sizes, your child will have to change instruments as they progress.
Whether you are an adult or the parent of a young musician, I will be delighted to support you in this process and answer all your questions.

About Me
Originally from Venezuela, I moved to Germany at the age of 15 to learn cello with Katalin Rootering at the Richard Strauss Conservatory of Music in Munich. Later, I studied with top cellists who inspired me a lot.
Musical pedagogy is close to my heart. That is why, throughout my career, I follow continuing education courses in order to continue to improve myself and make my lessons dynamic and interesting. I am a caring, fun and structured teacher.
Since 2024, back in Switzerland, I live with my partner and our two children in Arzier-Le Muids.
I would be delighted to welcome you as a student, to accompany you on your musical path and guide you in learning the cello.
