About Me

Ugo discovers the cello at the age of 4 and then begins his studies at the Conservatoire. In 2008, he joined the CNR of Boulogne Billancourt in Xavier Gagnepain's class - after a stint at the Pôle Supérieur of Paris Boulogne Billancourt where he pursues a dual instrumental and university program, he joined CNSMD Lyon in the class of Yvan Chiffoleau and obtained his Higher National Diploma Professional Musician.
Attracted by a multidisciplinary research, he works in close collaboration with the dance department of the CNSM and some composers-choreographers, such as Nico Mulhy within the "Aire de Jeux" festival in Lyon.
He studied at the University of Music of Lausanne in the class of Xavier Phillips and Matthieu Lejeune, and completed his studies by playing the Miaskovsky Concerto accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra. of Lausanne under the direction of Aurélien Azan Zielinski.

As a violinist: I am currently a student at the Geneva University of Music, after having followed the pre-professional course at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. During my career, I won several prizes such as the Vatelot Rampal competition in Paris and the Jeunesses Musicales of Switzerland soloist, and string quartet (alongside Julie Berthollet in particular). I also attended the Indianapolis University Academy summer internship.
