Holder of a Master's degree in Letters and endowed with a solid experience in private lessons, I provide French lessons for students wishing to:
- consolidate their bases in grammar, spelling
- improve their language skills (allophone students)
- improve their speaking skills (conversation classes)
-profect the written expression
- prepare for ECR exams
- prepare for the written examinations at the end of the studies (maturity, certificate of completion)
- help with the writing of works of maturity (or other works of end of studies), of dissertation
- work on argumentative texts
- acquire a method to analyze literary texts
- learn how to perform bibliographic research

The course material is a Google Docs document that I create in which my explanations, possible links, exercises appear. By reading it regularly, progress will be faster. It can also be used in addition to other documents (files printed by school teachers and/or books) and has many advantages: automatic updating, downloadable on tablets and smartphones, simultaneous monitoring of what is writing.

For help with writing:

The objective is above all to acquire effective tools. The student will thus be able to learn to structure his ideas, argue coherently (and convincingly) and enrich his vocabulary. It is essential for me to have written work from the student between each lesson.

For analyzes of oral literary texts:

In order to optimize the time available (and to put ourselves in conditions closest to oral exams), we choose together an extract from a work that the student will have previously prepared before the lesson. This would take around 20 minutes at most, and ideally just a little before the meeting time. If necessary, I have the habit of taking a paragraph at random which would serve as a basis for analyzing a passage.

For the corrections of end of studies work:

so that the meeting with the student is at the most profitable, I ask him to send me his writings before the meeting.

Apart from my presence with the student, any course involves a preparation time before and after the lesson, including the work that I correct. My goal is to design an individualized course, so I take the time to write detailed comments on corrected work or tips to ensure maximum success for everyone.

For example, an editorial correction can easily be the subject of a detailed commentary of 4 typewritten pages.

For adults (FLE):

In order to optimally prepare the first ones, I take the initiative to inform myself in advance of their objectives / expectations. Whether to practice speaking in everyday life, the professional world or to practice oral presentations, I prepare either PPT or technical sheets in advance that I send by mail ( after booking on the website).

The other alternative is to make a PV of the course that I send (or that I print). Giving importance to keeping a written record on the one hand to better memorize the topics covered, on the other hand to better assimilate the spelling.

Of a general nature, a concrete situation that responds to the learner's needs is the starting point. From this situation, I address the essential grammatical points.

I offer you a new learning experience.

The focus is on practical application and theory is only introduced where intuition reaches its limits.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, my tailor-made lessons will accelerate your language acquisition in a positive learning environment.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

My offer is aimed at both young people and adults who want to learn German or improve their knowledge without wasting time on nonsensical school methods.

I offer individual or group lessons for German. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs. The programme focuses on your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life.

What is particularly important to me:

motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm;
encouraging their creativity;
helping them become more familiar with the language;
teaching them the letters and their sounds;
strengthening their memory by training their phonological loop;
teaching sentence building plans instead of memorising sentences;
explaining how language works so that my students can become independent as quickly as possible.

I look forward to meeting you.

The world of mathematics is abstract and demanding. To navigate it, creating logical connections between the concepts studied becomes essential. From algebraic manipulation to linear algebra, this support aims to help students reconnect with mathematics by giving them the necessary tools to find their own way. In this way, long-term academic success becomes possible.

Having graduated with a high school diploma specializing in Mathematics and Physics, receiving an award for excellence as well as an award for advanced mathematics, and currently pursuing further studies in mathematics at EPFL, I will leverage my years of experience in academic support to achieve my goal: to show students that mathematics can be enjoyable when studied effectively. This enjoyment will be the cornerstone of their academic success.

💻 Videoconference courses, from the orientation cycle to the final year of high school.

There's a phrase I hear in almost every first session: "In class I understand, but when I'm faced with the worksheet I don't know where to start."

It's not a question of academic level. It's that no one has ever taught students to recognize the type of problem they're facing. One function exercise looks like another, but the method isn't the same—and until this sorting happens automatically, each exercise starts from scratch. This sorting is what I work on first, even before reviewing the lesson.

🎓 I hold a Master's degree in Operations Research (applied mathematics) and have been tutoring mathematics for 5 years. I have worked with numerous students in the Swiss system, as well as in French, Belgian, and international programs.

📚 What I cover, canton by canton

The vocabulary varies from one canton to another, so let's be precise:

✏Geneva and Fribourg — orientation cycle (grades 9 to 11 HarmoS), preparation for entry into secondary school, then the four years of secondary school up to graduation
✏Vaud — pre-gymnasium and general tracks, preparation for the ECR exams, transition to gymnasium, then the three years of gymnasium
✏Neuchâtel — cycle 3, then high school
✏Valais — orientation cycle, then college
Preparation for the Matura exam, all specific options

🔍 How I work

1️⃣ The first sessions are mainly aimed at assessing the level of the student in order to identify the shortcomings observed.

2️⃣ Then we make a plan to fill those gaps: number of hours of work needed, parts of the lessons to focus on, lots of training and development exercises, etc.

3️⃣ We make sure to stay in regular contact with the student's class teacher to monitor their progress and align our work with what is being taught in class.

4️⃣ Then I provide exams similar to what may be offered in class.

5️⃣ Upon request, I write a monthly report to keep parents informed of their child's level throughout the course.

✨ Why this profession

My favorite moment is when a student starts explaining their approach aloud without me having asked anything. It means they're no longer trying to guess what I expect—they're thinking. The rest always follows.

🗣️ Lessons in French or English. Response within the day.

I offer private math lessons for all levels, up to (maybe) the second year of university. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, I have been an assistant since 2023 in several courses, mainly in analysis and linear algebra. I have also corrected exams for the CMS and MàN programs. At the same time, I participated in the mentoring program as a tutor, a support program for first-year mathematics students. My role was to help them understand the courses, solve exercises, and prepare for exams. The students I followed throughout the year all obtained an average above 5.

My way of teaching would be to explain my point of view, to give concrete examples of application of the results seen in class, to explain the logical progression of the course, to give a proof of the result or sometimes just to make a drawing. I am a student myself, and I understand the difficulty one can have in visualizing concepts, so I am open to criticism and flexible on my way of teaching.
