For two decades, painting has been my steadfast anchor, guiding me through life's ups and downs, and in many ways - saved me in this life.
I feel that the act of painting is a form of meditation - and in my hardest days - Painting has become a tranquil oasis of calm.

In the past 10 years specifically, I've immersed myself in daily painting with oils, and mastering the Alla prima technique (wet on wet technic = one painting in one sitting), however, I have also dabbled in layering and glazing for a while.

I firmly believe that with the right time, space, and personalized instruction, anyone can paint. Whilst oil painting has being rumoured to be very messy (And it can be extremely messy) I have built a clean painting structure, as I am also living with a cleaning freak (the love of my life), a 3 year old child and a boxer dog.

That's why I offer 1-1 tutoring sessions at my place, in a patient, friendly, and instructive environment filled with good vibes and good music (probably the most important ingredient!).

-My German skills are at a B1 level. I welcome German speakers - I can practice my German, and you can practice your English/Hebrew:)
- I can offer sessions for couple - however the rate would change. Please contact me if interested.

Are you willing to learn drawing or painting? Do you wish to improve what you already know?

I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. I would like to pass on the knowledge I have acquired through my studies and practice and give those who so wish the opportunity to go on a journey into the world of art and improve their language and technique.
The lessons are open to all levels.

The techniques covered range from drawing with pencil, charcoal and pastel chalk to all painting styles (watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera). You have the opportunity to experiment on different types of paper (with different weights and colors) and canvases.

The topics change from lesson to lesson and can range from the human body to the landscape to the wildlife, depending on your preferences and desires.

Particular attention is paid to the method so that the finished work is clean, pleasant and as expressive as possible.

why draw, how to draw?

- in a world where everyone can take photos with their cell phone, why still draw?

- Is drawing an attempt to capture reality or is it a tool to comment on it?

The lessons are an invitation for beginners and advanced learners to try out various practical techniques and discuss the results.

When it comes to drawing, one of the biggest obstacles is letting go of self-criticism and just starting and working. We will deal precisely with this difficulty. We will learn through extraordinary exercises how to simply train the hands and at the same time suspend the critical mind.

Later, we will focus on observing the drawings and try to understand the mystery of what works and what doesn't.

Lessons are offered for both beginners and advanced learners. Let me know what you would like to improve about your work. what do you find interesting?

My name is Oded, I am originally from Israel. After 6 years of studying, I completed my studies at the UdK in 2019. In recent years I have participated in several exhibitions and residency programs.
My main artworks are films, watercolor paintings and comics.
Teaching is a very important task for me.

I'm a visual artist in Berlin graduated in Fine Art School in France. My lessons are based on the specific wishes of my students. I teach drawing, watercolour, charcoal, pastel, acrylic and oil painting techniques. Each medium has its specificity and we will see together what is the most adapted to your desires. My lesson can be based on :

- Observational drawing, realistic drawing
- Developing the imagination and creativity
- Art of portraiture, perspective
- Art of colour and composition (abstract and figurative art)

All levels are welcome! I give 1h, 1h30 or 2h lessons.

Everyone can draw great pictures! I have been studying painting for ten years, from impressionism to Chinese traditional painting, to abstract art. I will help you to paint whatever you are interested in and want to make.
I am a professional artist and an art educator. I can teach you oil painting, acrylic painting, pencil/marker drawing, ink painting, calligraphy, etc, whatever you would like to learn. My class is very encouraging and inspiring because I believe everyone has the potential to be a good artist and I only provide another way of thinking.
Moreover, I have so much experience teaching kids and teenagers, they turned out to love drawing and feel confident about making art. No need to mention I can relate to adults whose eager and the challenges of learning new things. Don't worry, once you ride it, you get it! ;)

If you enjoy bright colors and want to learn to paint abstractly with liquid watercolor paint, this workshop is for you.
At the beginning of the painting session we will become familiar with the wet-on-wet technique. We will learn to let the chance of the colors running into each other guide us. In this workshop you will learn to find the balance between chance and gentle brush control. After a short drying time, the fine lines are then applied with fine brushes.
Watercolor painting as a meditation technique:
Simply starting and working with your hands is a self-healing process, something I rediscovered especially during the Corona crisis. Watercolor painting is relaxing and has a meditative effect, it slows you down and when you wake up from the trance you have created a finished watercolor.
