My name is Oded, I am originally from Israel. After 6 years of studying, I completed my studies at the UdK in 2019. In recent years I have participated in several exhibitions and residency programs.
My main artworks are films, watercolor paintings and comics.
Teaching is a very important task for me.

I offer drawing, painting, and 3-dimensional sculpture courses and opportunities for students to explore the different mediums and create an impressive portfolio. I will prepare students to develop their interest in three-dimensional work. Students will be creating work with Cray and 3-dimensional materials. I graduated from an art school where I learned all the important classical techniques of drawing, painting and sculpture. For two decades, painting has been my steadfast anchor, guiding me through life's ups and downs, and in many ways - saved me in this life.
I feel that the act of painting is a form of meditation - and in my hardest days - Painting has become a tranquil oasis of calm.

In the past 10 years specifically, I've immersed myself in daily painting with oils, and mastering the Alla prima technique (wet on wet technic = one painting in one sitting), however, I have also dabbled in layering and glazing for a while.

I firmly believe that with the right time, space, and personalized instruction, anyone can paint. Whilst oil painting has being rumoured to be very messy (And it can be extremely messy) I have built a clean painting structure, as I am also living with a cleaning freak (the love of my life), a 3 year old child and a boxer dog.

That's why I offer 1-1 tutoring sessions at my place, in a patient, friendly, and instructive environment filled with good vibes and good music (probably the most important ingredient!).

If you enjoy bright colors and want to learn to paint abstractly with liquid watercolor paint, this workshop is for you.
At the beginning of the painting session we will become familiar with the wet-on-wet technique. We will learn to let the chance of the colors running into each other guide us. In this workshop you will learn to find the balance between chance and gentle brush control. After a short drying time, the fine lines are then applied with fine brushes.
Watercolor painting as a meditation technique:
Simply starting and working with your hands is a self-healing process, something I rediscovered especially during the Corona crisis. Watercolor painting is relaxing and has a meditative effect, it slows you down and when you wake up from the trance you have created a finished watercolor.

Drawing is a natural skill for everyone; but if you are looking for a more artistic approach for this practice, you can count on me! During my classes you will learn techniques to upgrade your level of drawing to have a more naturalistic way of representation. I will teach you how to observe shapes and tones, to loose your hand, to improve the quality of your strokes, and I will focus in anatomical drawing by teaching you the easiest way to get the right proportions and being able to draw a person with or without a model. But you can also bring your own interests! We will use pencil, pen, and charcoal.
I currently study a Master in New Media Design in Berlin, and I studied my bachelor in the most important school of arts in Mexico. I’ve been drawing professionally for 16 years, and have experience in art teaching for children and adults in several workshops, as well as working independently for painting and mural painting commissions.
