Having graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Conflict, Security and Development from the University of Sussex, England, I have spent over 10 years working in international and French-speaking environments, which has allowed me to develop excellent command of French in academic, professional and everyday contexts.

I have also had the opportunity to teach French in various countries, to students of all ages and levels. About Me

Passionate about languages and intercultural exchange, I offer English, French and Spanish lessons, tailored to suit both beginners and those looking to develop their language skills in a professional context.

I have 10 years of professional experience working in English-, French- and Spanish-speaking environments, which has given me an excellent command of all three languages, as well as a practical understanding of how they are used in everyday life and in professional settings.

I hold a B.A and M.A degree in International Relations and have also had the opportunity to teach English and French in several countries, working with learners from a wide range of backgrounds and proficiency levels. I have supported complete beginners in taking their first steps in a new language, as well as professionals looking to improve their communication skills, vocabulary and confidence in speaking.

My lessons are tailored to each learner’s level and objectives, whether you wish to develop your conversational skills, strengthen your grammar and vocabulary, prepare for professional situations, improve your communication at work, or simply become more confident speaking the language.

I primarily offer online lessons, as I am currently based between Italy and Switzerland. However, I am also happy to travel to your home where reasonably possible.

Practice leads to perfection

Unless you learned to speak French when you were a child, it is difficult when you don't speak it fluently to pass for a French speaker. However, this does not prevent you from learning to speak it correctly, because it is well known that a language spoken with a foreign accent is an asset of seduction! Although it may seem complicated, learning a new language is always fun and beneficial, so it is important to practice as much as possible and above all not to give up. Take every opportunity you are given to speak the language and listen to French as soon as possible. And remember: practice leads to perfection!

*My method:*
-During class we focus on speaking. Outside of class, I will send you exercises that I will correct every week (grammar, conjugation, writing...).
-I use a particular technique based on questions/answers to apply the grammar when speaking.

I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). 2021:

2017-2020:

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.
