About Me

Hello everyone :)

My name is Nicolas. I was born in Geneva and grew up there until I was 25. I went to college at Emilie-Gourd where I obtained my maturity (equivalent to Bach in France). After that I took a year off during which I went to Vancouver to improve my English.

I then did a Bachelor in Geography and Environment at the University of Geneva. For my 3rd year I did an exchange in São Paulo, where I learned Portuguese.

Once I finished my Bachelor, I decided to travel around the world, with no return date. I left in February 2018 for South East Asia and spent 7 months there. In Vietnam I volunteered as an English teacher. It was then that I discovered my passion for teaching! So I followed an online training to obtain the TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language).

In the meantime, I returned to Brazil where I spent 7 months working there as a French and English teacher.

Back in Geneva in April 2019 I gave French lessons to more than twenty students in private, and I also worked as a substitute geography teacher in colleges.

I am now in Lausanne to do a Masters in geography at the University of Lausanne.

I offer much more than just a language course but a real exchange of culture and life experiences.

I am a very social person, calm, patient and communicative. I like challenges and new experiences.

My hobbies are skiing, kitesurfing, music, meditation and of course travel :)

Unless you learned to speak French when you were a child, it is difficult when you don't speak it fluently to pass for a French speaker.
