About Me

Hi there! My name is Paul, I'm a singer, songwriter and musician based in London. I’ve loved music all my life and sharing it is my favourite way of connecting with the world. I play several instruments (voice, piano/keyboards, guitar, bass and percussion) and I teach all of them to people of all ages and levels. If you're looking for music lessons, I hope the below sounds like a good fit for you!

I work in various ways as a performing/recording artist and session musician. My band Dead Writers (in which I write the music and lyrics) has been featured on major international press, received praise from Nick Cave and supported international artists such as Pale Waves and Hannah Wicklund - it has even been played on British Airways flights! My music has also been on radio, film, and advertisements, and I've performed in festivals, music venues, theatres and art galleries including The Barbican Centre, Bush Hall, Tower Theatre and Churchill War Rooms Museum in London, and La Fab Gallery in Paris.

I also offer services as a music teacher, and I’ve worked for 7 years as a private tutor and in primary/secondary schools around London. My approach to music lessons is to deliver professional, friendly and dynamic lessons that inspire the learner to develop a meaningful relationship with their instrument, helping them discover a sense of purpose and fun. I really enjoy supporting my students on their journey and am very proud of the progress we have made together and of how much they love the lessons. I'm a flexible tutor and I prioritise the joy of playing music above all, so I like to keep a balance between providing material my students might not know, whilst encouraging their own direction and musical tastes. I'm able to cover several genres (rock, pop, classical, blues, folk, jazz) and I'm familiar with ABRSM/Trinity/RockSchool Grades syllabuses - I'm very glad to have helped my students achieve excellent results over the years.

I started to train as a classical musician at the age of 7 at my hometown's conservatoire, where I studied Piano, Flute, Music Theory and Voice for 10 years. At the age of 15, I taught myself to play guitar and began to write songs and play live - the journey has just gone on from there!

I specialise in teaching music composition, production, and piano. I have a BA from the University of Oxford in Music, and I am a professional TV and Film composer. I am also able to teach music theory, history, and ear training.

My goal is to create lessons that help my students to get an interactive, un-intimidating, and fun filled musical education. My name is Auriane, I live and work between Berlin and Athens. I'am also a professional musician and sing in many languages like Spanish, French, English... My practice is the result of 10 years of musical studies in France.
I also believe that singing is connected to the body and the way we use it, and become more aware of it. I acquired many tools in order to teach you how to sing your favourite songs in your own free way.

For beginners: songs, games, improvisation, creation. The links with song and rhythm are very important to have a healthy foundation. The musical notions are approached gradually by experience then by recognition. Reading and writing are brought about by creation and musical composition.

For the more experienced, polyphony and difficult passages can be approached with different tools, by awareness of harmony and melodic modes and polyrhythm. Sometimes it is enough to be aware of simplicity to overcome difficult passages.

I push to go further in the quality of the interpretation with simple means to better understand the music and thus allow more expressiveness and freedom.

I also offer improvisation, harmony,
lessons in musical ensembles, especially vocal polyphony for children, and lessons for specific needs, for example just intonation for singers or other instruments.

Since I was eight years old, singing has been and still is my favourite thing to do. I have been trained formally as a vocalist since the age of 10 studying music in the styles of classical, contemporary and jazz.

I have recently received a certificate for Level I of The LoVetri Institute for Somatic VoiceworkTM and will continue to gain credentials in this method of training.

My name is Aoibheann, I am originally from Ireland but have been living in London almost 2 years. I am a piano teacher who has studied piano for over 12 years. I have studied Grade 8 Piano and Music Theory. I have also studied at an undergraduate level in Music. I have a patient, fun, and enthusiastic approach to teaching, having taught adults and children it is vital to create a safe environment built on mutual respect.
My main interests in teaching is helping students create a love for playing and nurturing that through playing pieces they will love. I am a professional operatic tenor and a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and continue to perform regularly throughout the country and internationally. I now have 20 years of performing and teaching experience, and specialise in teaching vocal technique and refining tone quality.

I encourage my students to develop healthy singing habits, while combining this with language coaching, interpretation and performance skills. I also work regularly with singers for audition preparation, industry professionals and also in vocal rehabilitation.

Learning to sing is the same as any other skill, and everyone is capable of singing well. Singing is unique to each person and I always adapt my lessons accordingly.
