I am a professional principal dramatic baritone teaching in vocal technique based on the Italian chiaro/scuro vocal technique, which basically will teach you to sing on your lips, so your voice gets projected out in the theater without use of microphone. I also teach you how to support your voice (appogio) ... so you do not go empty of air, when you have to sing longer vocal and musical lines. I basically teach you to get the absolute best vocal technique used by all of the great Italian & American opera singers from the past, which is quite important. As an intermediate you will need 3 lessons of 1 hour per week and if you are advanced singer you will need 1 - 2 lessons per week of 1 hour each. I teach either from my private home or I can come to you, if you have some sort of piano or keyboard instrument. I also teach at Juhl Sørensens piano factory (Steinway Denmark) at Norrebro in Copenhagen.

Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
