I am a professional principal dramatic baritone teaching in vocal technique based on the Italian chiaro/scuro vocal technique, which basically will teach you to sing on your lips, so your voice gets projected out in the theater without use of microphone. I also teach you how to support your voice (appogio) ... so you do not go empty of air, when you have to sing longer vocal and musical lines. I basically teach you to get the absolute best vocal technique used by all of the great Italian & American opera singers from the past, which is quite important. As an intermediate you will need 3 lessons of 1 hour per week and if you are advanced singer you will need 1 - 2 lessons per week of 1 hour each. I teach either from my private home or I can come to you, if you have some sort of piano or keyboard instrument. I also teach at Juhl Sørensens piano factory (Steinway Denmark) at Norrebro in Copenhagen.

Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run.
