Hi there, my name's James. I've been playing since the age of 10 (12 years), during which I have played with a number of bands and taught many students, both privately and in schools. I'm currently the touring drummer for London Calling UK, The Meatloaf Story, and Emma Stevens, and have partaken in festivals and shows around the UK and Europe. I am able to teach whatever it is you're wanting to learn. Whether we're starting at the beginning, or learning a certain song, each lesson will be tailored specifically to you and your needs. I can provide in-person 1 to 1 lesson either at my home studio or at a place of the student's choice (within reason), or via video chats like Zoom and Skype. I am DBS checked.

Turkish reed flute is an essential instrument of Turkish Classcial Music. It has a deep and dense culture dating from 13. century around. I have played the flute for more than 20 years, and have been teaching since 2011. I offer flute lessons to children aged 8 and up, and adults at all levels from beginners to post Grade 8. I also teach recorder to younger beginners- I find this is a good stepping stone for younger children as it's more comfortable for smaller beginners to hold, and easier to make a sound on. Learn to pass exams or just for fun- many of my students achieve highly in ABRSM and Trinity grades, but some prefer not to take exams and this is fine too. Whatever your level, one to one tuition means that I can tailor my teaching to your needs as a flute player, and my teaching takes into account the reasons you learn an instrument, encompassing a wide variety of repertoire. I also teach music theory- lots of students come to me to help prepare for Grade 5 theory, and I also teach higher theory grades.

I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes. During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece.
