Hi, I am Hatice from Istanbul. I HAVE BEEN TEACHİNG ONLINE AND FACE TO FACE FOR 25 YEARS. I am a native speaker of Turkish and was born in Istanbul. I have been teaching Turkish to foreigners and I have taught hundreds of students from all ages and professions for more than 20 years. I am a professional English teacher but I like teaching Turkish more as it is my mother tongue and it is a great pleasure for me to share its secrets and beauty. While teaching I also love giving some useful information about the culture, people, cuisine, films and literature in Turkey to help you get connected to Turkish culture. I prepare written and verbal dialogues in the areas the student is interested in. I am from Istanbul but I traveled almost all cities, mountains, rivers, lakes in Turkey. I am a person who likes less traveled roads and back streets. Traveling around the world and reading on the areas of spirituality, philosophy, psychology, and literature are my number one hobbies. I lived and worked in London, Toronto, and S. Korea. Living as an expat and learning several languages have helped me having sympathy with my students. Motivation, feeling relaxed and setting realistic targets, in the beginning, are usually the first thing to go. As for my formal education, I studied Economics, International Relations, Western Philosophy, and American language and literature at the university (MA and BA). And after my 40 years old, I learned classical Arabic and Persian and started to study Islamic spirituality at the doctorate level. I taught English at Prep. school at Istanbul Technical University and Yeditepe University and am retired. Ever since I could remember I have been a teacher. Now I only teach Turkish privately and translate classical novels from English to Turkish. I translated 12 books from English to Turkish. I teach Turkish that is tailored for each student. Each student is unique for me and I know that every student has her/his own way of learning. If you are a beginner I give a short lecture about the history of Turkish and its characteristics and help you find your way in this very logical, consistent and elegant language. You understand that Turkish is different but that does not necessarily mean difficulty. From the first lesson, you start speaking Turkish and find yourself in a dialogue. I can teach at my place and your place (all around Istanbul). I use several books using a grammar-based approach integrated with communicative methods to boost the development of all language skills. But we always focus on TALK, TALK, TALK. As a language learner for many years, I know one can learn, improve and take pleasure in a foreign language only by talking and communicating. It is essential to get direct pleasure from what you have learned. My aim is to motivate and inspire you to speak Turkish ignoring minor mistakes and without thinking grammar. I try to keep in contact with my students almost every day through whatsapp and email. And start some short dialogues.

After graduating from high school, I went to Egypt for language education and studied Arabic for 8 months. Then, when my application for undergraduate education in Saudi Arabia was accepted, I started my education life in Saudi Arabia. During this time, I graduated from the three-year language institute at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with an 81 degree. Then, I completed my four-year undergraduate education at the university where I studied. Due to the pandemic, I continue my Master's education via distance education at the university where I graduated. I have native level reading, writing and speaking skills, especially in fasih Arabic. I have a certificate of oath as an Arabic sworn translator from more than ten notaries. I also serve as a Judicial Translator at the Istanbul Courthouse. For a long time, I have been giving private lessons to expatriate families and people from Turkey, especially the children of expatriate families, who want to learn Arabic. In addition, I serve as a sworn translator in many notaries. I can guarantee that someone who does not even know Arabic letters will be able to read and partially write Arabic letters in as little as 6 lessons, provided that the homework I give is done. Due to the pandemic, I teach my lessons online using a graphic tablet designed for private lessons and graphic drawings, so the lessons take place in a classroom environment. You will appreciate how useful and efficient the online webcam lessons are, which you have already remembered with the work we have done from the first lesson.

Hi Everyone, This is Ricco from Istanbul, Turkey. I am a professional guitar instructor who also is playing in various stages with different bands currently. I have a solid 10 years of guitar experience in all genres, from pop to rock & blues and so on. Besides playing electric guitar professionally with different bands, I am also giving professional hands-on guitar lessons for the guitar enthusiasts. There is one major rule for my guitar lessons which is ALL LESSONS ARE IN ENGLISH !!! This is why most of my students are either childrens of expats working in Istanbul or students studying in colleges and private schools whose official language is English. If you are interested in learning how to play guitar (either classic, acoustic or electric), please feel free to get in touch with me. After the first lesson If we both agree that we can move further, we shake hands and plan your progress together. Lessons can be done either in your own flat or mine, but the price per lesson may vary accordingly. Students may also use my own guitars which can be seen in the photos, my amp and pedals. Looking forward to hearing from you !!! Ricco

I have been teaching private courses in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English for 9 years. It is my passion to prepare my students for the future with school and exam studies. When I had a chance to be a student in the Anatolian Teacher High School in Istanbul in 2008 and Boğaziçi University in 2012, my biggest goal was to be a reliable role model for my students in the future. I am very happy that I have now made this dream come true since the year I entered university. Until this time, I have taught private lessons at secondary, high school and university level to numerous students from Turkey and abroad. I still continue to give private lessons on the online platform and teach Physics at an International School in Istanbul where California Education Standards (Cognia) are adopted. It is my passion to prepare my students for the future with school and exam studies. I am currently teaching for SAT Exam Preparation. SAT Subject Tests includes Physics, Math, Chemistry and Biology. I can teach both IB and American Curriculum as well. I teach my lessons on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom, depending on the student' request. Inquiry Based Learning which I have adopted as a teaching method; it enables me to teach lessons based on inquiry and always keeping the student & teacher dialogue dynamic. I strive to progress depending on the age and level of the student. For this, I aim to explain myself, the way I study and understand my student's expectations and level. After the level has been determined, it is of great importance for me that the student knows the lesson plan and draft as well and adheres to the jointly agreed schedule. I share pdfs and documents that I have prepared before the class and use the books by Pearson, Serway, Nowicki, Sarquis and so on for University & Secondary School Level. For Middle School, I use HMH Science Modules etc. I do emphasize the importance on giving homework/assignment and return as giving ''feedforwards'' for my students. As someone in love with her job, it is my greatest motivation to direct the students to professions they can do with love.
