How to understand, love and create on the Electric Guitar.

Intro:
I will explain the structure of the guitar, basic playing techniques and correct hand positioning on the guitar. We will get to know each other and I will analyse your level of guitar skills, your musical taste and your goals in music.

Based on this analysis, we will be able to put together a personalised programme for your training.

The Path:
1.I will share with you useful exercises and show you how to do them properly.
2.Depending on your taste and level of technique, we will choose songs and learn them correctly under my supervision.
3.We will touch on music theory to the extent that suits your goals and in which you are willing to accept it.
4.We will learn to speak the language of music and learn how to improvise. We will learn songs by ear.
5.I will give small homework assignments that I will check at the beginning of the lessons.
You will receive all the tablature and materials you need.

Outro:
We will go from easy exercises and simple songs to complex solos and interesting improvisations, you will learn songs by ear. I will help you with your songwriting and prepare you for a concert and studio recording.

Extra information

You need to have any device with a camera and microphone (e.g. laptop, smartphone, etc.) and a guitar. For an electric guitar, it is advisable to have an amplifier (any kind).

About Me

I am a musician with stage and studio experience. I have a lot of experience in teaching guitar and learning to write music. This is my main job for the last 3 years. Mostly working with children and teenagers. My goal is to teach how to love music, understand music and create music.

Education

I did not study at a university, I studied on my own for a long time, taking master classes and tutorials by famous musicians (Guthrie Govan, Frank Gambale and others).
I've been practicing guitar for more than 10 years, the last three years teaching is my main job. I've had over 4 dozen students and fought for each one, trying to develop them as musicians and individuals.

This is Ricco from Istanbul, Turkey.

I am a professional guitar instructor who also is playing in various stages with different bands currently.

I have a solid 10 years of guitar experience in all genres, from pop to rock & blues and so on. Besides playing electric guitar professionally with different bands, I am also giving professional hands-on guitar lessons for the guitar enthusiasts.

There is one major rule for my guitar lessons which is ALL LESSONS ARE IN ENGLISH !!!

This is why most of my students are either childrens of expats working in Istanbul or students studying in colleges and private schools whose official language is English.

If you are interested in learning how to play guitar (either classic, acoustic or electric), please feel free to get in touch with me.

After the first lesson If we both agree that we can move further, we shake hands and plan your progress together.

Lessons can be done either in your own flat or mine, but the price per lesson may vary accordingly. Students may also use my own guitars which can be seen in the photos, my amp and pedals.

I am a solo entertainer, who performs with guitar and piano. In my early ages i performed as a electro guitar player in the bands, after I performed on a big cruise ships as a solo entertainer. In my lessons I’m helping the people who likes to be a solo artist. In this process I’m teaching singing and playing at the same time with an any instrument that candidate choose.

I started playing fretless when I was in the university. I worked as a professional musician for many years. I attended the masterclasses of master musician Erkan Oğur to improve my fretless technique. I currently teach music at a primary school and give private instrument lessons.
