I am so excited that you are interested in music and especially that you are looking to start learning how to play the piano!

I am offering private piano lessons, to any age or level. I teach children, starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications, e.g. ABRSM music exams, amateurs or simply people who want to learn how to play and enjoy music, of any age.

I always start by teaching and explaining the importance of the hand's position, the importance of the arms and the use of the whole body while playing the piano. During the lessons, we will be working on piano technique (giving great importance to the p movement of the finger and the use of the weight on the keys), the understanding of the musical language, the expression of the personality through the music.

My way of teaching, adjusts to the age, the character and the personality of the student. I am always using a lot of examples in order to make my point and especially in young ages, the most of the lesson's activities, have the sense of a game for the children.

I am quite flexible with my timetable.

Face to face lessons but also online lessons are possible

Lessons can be in Greek and of course in English.

To own a piano or a keyboard is required for the lessons.

Originally from Cyprus, I am Phaedra and I am 22 years old.
I am a bachelor graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK in Piano Performance and I am currently a scholar student, at the Liszt Academy of Music, in Budapest.

I am a young musicians who aims o share the things I have learned by teaching people who love music and are interested in playing the piano.

My students receive a complete musical education, and they get the tools for developing their own musical personality and most importantly show them the beauty of the music!

About me:
My name is Emese, and I am a music psychologist specialized in musicians' experiences with perfectionism and performance anxiety. I completed my doctorate at Roehampton University, London (UK) in this topic, and presented my research at international music performance conferences.

I am also a trained musician: I studied classical violin and Hungarian folk. Between 2009-2014, I taught violin for children and teenagers in London.

I am a lecturer in Applied Psychology at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. Also, I frequently give public lectures and inspirational talks by invitation.

In 2016, I completed the certified neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner training course at the NLP Academy Budapest. As a performance coach, I use NLP, sport, and music psychology techniques that help musicians to prevent stage fright, improve their focusing ability, strengthen their personal and musical identities, and perform at their best on stage and at auditions.

I offer lessons in music theory with a strong emphasis on improvisation.
The instrument used for the classes would be a keyboard but the learnings can be applied to any instrument you already play.
I can help with critical listening, ear training, solo building and many other practical skills.
Any theoretical concept is taught based on the needs of the student and to serve the purpose of their own way of self expression.
I also offer Ableton Live tutoring for whom is interested in musical production and composing.

I help them along the basics, mastering a certain piece of their choice, a music style or playing chamber music, preparing for an exam or audition.
I work with children in a fun, playful way, considering their own tempo of progress, their ability to concentrate, and their individual interests.
