The Breath, it's the basis of everything we do, the source of life and the start of singing.

I believe in a genre neutral method of breathing as a base of speaking and singing. No jazz, pop, musical or classical 'technique' but a natural method which taps into the natural strength of the body, which results in a huge window of opportunities.

One can sing however, whichever and whenever one wants, unbound by genre defining methods and techniques. I strive for a utilisation of the whole of the body, just to produce sounds, which makes you more versatile with different genres and which results in a more durable voice.

About Me

Singer/Vocal Coach who focuses on unlocking the Natural, Authentic voice.

It's my sincere belief that everyone knows how to sing. Even how to sing well. It's just a matter of regaining contact with the natural breath, working away deep-rooted tensions and having an open mind.

As a vocal coach, I try and guide you through this path of self discovery and offer you the tools to rediscover your own authentic voice.

I'm trained in Jazz, Pop, Classical and Musical, but after many bad experiences involving bad teachers and a lot of tension, I've gone the road less traveled. I took on courses in alternative philosophies on singing, the breath and using your body. These courses include Overtone singing and the Healing Voice, Breatheology by Stig Severinsen, the Wim Hoff method...

This deeper understanding of the breath and body have I taken on to enrichen my classes and be a vocal coach.

SONGS generally consist of chord and text lines. But where does that information come from and how do you make something out of nothing? How do you make that one great hIT or how strongly does your new song affect your love? Well, that's called "inspiration processing" and how does that work? Well, I'll tell you that in my course.
If you already play the guitar or piano, you are one step ahead. Your instrument is like a trampoline that offers you more options to go further and higher.
Most 'songs' are born at the craziest moments. A good songwriter his / her antennas are always open :-) and for some it is a continuous activity.
During my course I teach you through all sorts of tips and tricks (including: Travel Chord Duo Method - One Four Five and minor input - Key Word Designation and Relative Chord Progressions etc.) how you can achieve strong songs.
For me it is a daily activity and I have been writing all my life for others and sometimes for myself. All in all I have sold more than a million copies worldwide as an author / composer / performer. Is that little or is that a lot? I do not know. It doesn't interest me that much anymore.
I want to share my knowledge about how to write a song with motivated people who want to go further than just replaying others' songs. Whether they get stuck somewhere during composing and who are not afraid to seek advice.
Music is a life flirt. There are only two types of music: good and bad ...

Hello everyone,
I am piano docent in Conservatory and performing pianist.
I give private piano lessons to students of all ages and levels. Are you an enthusiastic beginner or do you want to pick up again after some time?
Toddlers and preschoolers from 3 years old can take their first steps in the world of the piano. Young adults and adults are also very welcome!

The piano lessons take place at my home in Berchem I live a short distance from Berchem station .

During the lessons I will take into account specific wishes, such as preference for classical or popular music. I use a piano method suited to your age. No prior knowledge of music is required.

I will open the world of music through the basics of piano playing. You don't know where to start? No worries, in this class you will learn everything about fingers, pianos and posture!
My goal is to encourage you to pursue your passion now, or to bring out the best in you.

I have been active as a pianist for more than 25 years. I graduated as a Master of Music.

Hi!

Have you always wanted to learn to sing?

I love passing on the knowledge of my craft. The mechanics of the voice is such a small and intricate thing, and knowing what goes inside our throat and body is a very special experience. I get excited and moved every time a student achieves a new skill, and takes another step towards a deeper understanding of their voice.
On top of my experience as a singer and a teacher, I have a degree in linguistics. That allows me to know exactly what has to be done inside your throat and mouth in order to produce a specific sound. I can therefore adapt to each student: if they have an analytic mind, I can explain what goes on inside and what should be done to improve that. If they have an instinctive mind, I can help with metaphor in order to help the phonation. Or both! My method is multi-faceted because each voice is unique, and it is my job to adapt, and not the contrary.

How does a lesson work?
The first time we meet, we will talk about your journey in the music world. What have you done yet music wise, what artists and genres inspire you, what are your goals. Then we will do what we do in every regular lesson: I will direct you during some warming-up exercises, that include vocal technique work (if you have already warmed up, we just do a few exercises about technique), and then we will work on whatever you want. I ask my students to always come with at least one piece of music they want to work on (or maybe two, depends on the time we have on hands).
