About Me

I am naturally a patient man who takes his time for everyone. My passion was, is and remains music. Apart from that, during my life career I also participated in the commercial world, but music always called me back. My Taylor acoustic guitar is my dearest possession.

Education

I have an A2 / A6 Trade / Language diploma and followed a Private Marketing course afterwards. In terms of music: since childhood education singing by mother (singer) - guitar lessons ever from people who are no longer on this planet. I learned a lot from Marty Townsend (American with a list of achievements to tell you) that I worked with for many years. Fortunately that man is still alive but he is currently back in California. I did a lot of gigs, did a lot of studio work and in the meantime wrote a load of songs. Songwriting comes with the years, there is no real school for it.

Experience / Qualifications

I have been playing guitar for more than 40 years but am still a young foal when I am allowed to make music. My mother was a celebrated singer (years back) and she has been playing music with me since childhood. I have sung with many groups and played guitar and sometimes also successful. Especially during the nineties I wrote songs for several artists and again some songs were successful. I am a partner at Sabam and I know the music scene through and through. May also be interesting for you - as a future 'apprentice'.
Over the years I have also worked as a Sales / Marketing / Publishing Manager and in recent years I have enriched myself with new information about promo and distribution of music.
Since a while I write back for the really big guys and I am hopefully waiting for the productions at the moment.
I have been teaching for about 10 years (a late calling) and so far with great pleasure. I like to meet new people and am socially oriented. Some of my students have already made it into the scene. It does not have to be your ambition to stand in the Sportpaleis. It is important that you get enough information and science during the course and especially that you enjoy it. Music is Fun.

I love students who make time for (their) music. If you are motivated enough, you need to realize that it does not end with 1 hour of learning. You really have to practice further on your own at home. I evaluate every progress and give you the necessary exercises so that you progress quickly. How do you make that one great hIT or how strongly does your new song affect your love? Well, that's called "inspiration processing" and how does that work? Well, I'll tell you that in my course.
If you already play the guitar or piano, you are one step ahead. Your instrument is like a trampoline that offers you more options to go further and higher.
Most 'songs' are born at the craziest moments. A good songwriter his / her antennas are always open :-) and for some it is a continuous activity.
During my course I teach you through all sorts of tips and tricks (including: Travel Chord Duo Method - One Four Five and minor input - Key Word Designation and Relative Chord Progressions etc.) how you can achieve strong songs.
For me it is a daily activity and I have been writing all my life for others and sometimes for myself. All in all I have sold more than a million copies worldwide as an author / composer / performer. Is that little or is that a lot? I do not know. It doesn't interest me that much anymore.
I want to share my knowledge about how to write a song with motivated people who want to go further than just replaying others' songs. Whether they get stuck somewhere during composing and who are not afraid to seek advice.
