Hello everyone!

Cello is one of the most beautiful instruments. Its sound is so close to the human voice. It sings, but it can be a virtuoso instrument as well!

I graduated with honours in 2016 the cello class of professor Jeroen Reuling at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels (Concert Musicus Program).
I finished master degree in the Academy of Music in Cracow (Poland) in a class of professor Zdzisław Łapiński. I also studied at the Leopold Mozart Zentrum Univesitat Augsburg within The Erasmus scholarship, in the cello class of professor Julius Berger. In addition I have been taking part in numerous masterclasses led by outstanding artists: Arto Noras, Gary Hoffman, Francois Guy, Ivan Monighetti, Frans Helmerson, J.Meissl, A.Rudin.

I also obtained a teaching certificate. During my PhD studies I have been leading classes for students, helping them to master their skills. In 2018 I've been an assistant at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

I am the first prize winner and special awards receiver in the following competitions: VII International Cello Competition in Liezen (Austria), VII International Independent
Competition "Individualis" in Ukraine, Festival Morningside Music Bridge in Canada,
Chamber Concert-Competition during the Young Artists Music Festival in Poznań (Poland), International Summer Academy PragWienBudapest - Prize for an outstanding interpretation of
a work of Bohuslav Martinu and Prize for the best String Soloist during the International Summer Academy PragWienBudapest and a Special Prize – CD/DVD Recordings with

International Music Competition (Poland) and the Kazimierz Wilkomirski International Cello
Competition in Poznan. In 2014 I won a Prize founded by the Polish Minister of Culture and
Heritage in the Concert of the Year 2014 organized for the best musicians of the Polish
Academies of Music.

I was also a participant at the eminent international festivals in different countries:
International New Music Festival “Missa Est” in Munich, Kronberg Academy, Young Talent
Music Festival in Schiermonnikoog (Holland), European Chamber Music Academy in Vilnius
(ECMA), International Musical Enghien Encounters (Belgium), Summer Chamber Music
Festival “Wawel at dusk” at the Royal Wawel Castle in Cracow, International Contemporary Music&Visual Arts in Bydgoszcz (Poland), Ohrid Summer Festival (Macedonia), Encuentro
de Musica Academia de Santander (Spain), Viana Summer Festival (Portugal).
As a soloist I performed under the direction of Krzysztof Penderecki and Jerzy Maksymiuk. I'm giving concerts on the stages of many countries, both as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician.
In 2017 I went for an international tournee (USA) with quintet labeled by Lincoln Center Stage.

I recorded for the Academy of Music in Cracow, ORF Radio Kulturhaus in Vienna, Festival “Morningside Music Bridge”, as a member of a cello ensemble “Cello Passionato”–
CD “4 for Peace”. She has taken part in the recording of Polish Cello Music – Dux Recordings.

I really like to teach. I have very good practicing methods and I make cello playing easy and understandable even for a beginner.

I'll be happy to meet you soon and help you to enter into fantastic cello world:)

Hello! I've been teaching continuously for over 10 years, and I'd like to explain what you can expect from a class with me.

Personalized approach: The most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I will tailor the lessons to your needs: playing for pleasure at home is not the same as preparing for entrance exams (although always with the same rigor). Your goals will influence the methodology, the organization of your studies, the repertoire, and so on.

Relaxed (but rigorous) environment: Once you've defined your goals, classes will be dynamic and pressure-free. Note! "Relaxed" doesn't mean undemanding; we'll just avoid military methods—especially given my personality and sense of humor.

Music, not just notes: My methods are very dynamic, with a special emphasis on hearing and musicality. No "read, play, and turn the page." I avoid approaches obsessed with reading sheet music without memorizing, listening, or understanding what is being played. I want you to own your performance and make artistic decisions. Warning! I might even make you sing.

No stylistic barriers: Thanks to my training in Jazz and Modern Music, I give equal importance to all genres. Adapting to your tastes, we'll go from baroque to blues, from Haydn to bebop... or even Michael Jackson. Why not?

If you identify with this approach, contact me! Learning the cello is a pleasure, and I'd love to share it with you!

Unlock the full potential of your instrument in this dynamic bridge course designed for rising saxophonists. Whether you’ve just mastered your first scales or are looking to break through a technical plateau, this class provides the essential tools to transition from a student to a confident performer.
We begin by refining the fundamentals of tone. Using professional insights from the BetterSax Foundation Guide, we’ll deep-dive into embouchure stability, breath support, and vibrant sound production to ensure every note speaks with clarity and authority. You’ll move beyond simple fingerings to master fluid transitions across "the break," allowing you to navigate the saxophone's full range with ease.
The curriculum then shifts toward musical expression and literacy. You will explore the vocabulary of improvisation through blues scales and pentatonic patterns, learning how to "speak" through your horn rather than just reading off a page. We also prioritize rhythmic precision and ensemble blending, teaching you how to lock in with a rhythm section or harmonize within a sax section.
By the end of this course, you won’t just be playing notes; you’ll be crafting melodies. Join a community of passionate players and gain the technical facility needed to tackle your favorite jazz standards, pop solos, or classical etudes with newfound confidence.
Ready to find your voice? Let’s start blowing.

Are you in love with the sound of the cello but have never dared to start playing it?
Have you been playing the cello as an amateur and now need an expert to guide you?
Do you want to develop and improve your cello and musical skills?
Do you need reinforcement lessons?
Would you like to prepare for entrance exams to the conservatory?
Would you love to join a youth orchestra and need help preparing for the auditions?
...
These are the private cello lessons you were looking for!

My name is Miriam, I am a graduate in Master of Classical Music at KASK & Conservatorium in Ghent.
I've been teaching cello to children, teenagers and adults for 10 years, so I've acquired the necessary experience to be able to adapt to the different and personal needs and objectives of each student. My teaching methodology focuses on creating a friendly and relaxed environment (which does not mean undemanding!) in which students feel confident to express their own ideas and worries. In my lessons I focus on technical and postural questions, but we also reflect together on the music, as I like my students to develop their own musical ideas and not just imitate the teacher.

Whether you have never held a violin in your hands or are an advanced player, all are welcome to contact me!
I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60.
My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding.
No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. I believe it important to have variety in the process of learning and to help the student to develop good practising habits.
For those interested, I can also gladly include some music theory/music history knowledge in the lessons, to understand the pieces on a more profound level.
The lessons can be taught in either Estonian, English, German or Spanish.
