I study the horn at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and I offer music theory/musical training lessons for all ages from 7 years old, for levels ranging from beginner to first year of conservatory. I am now a psychology student at UGent, and I also play the cello.

When you are writing music, it is very important that you show your music to people. Someone with experience in composition, even better. It is sometimes difficult to take that step to show your pieces that you have worked hard on. But this is a very important step, it makes you more confident in your own piece. From then on, people can receive feedback and evolve further. In my lessons, I work mainly on structure and learning to compose. If necessary, I will also work on details, but first the idea and the form have to be right. Composing is an evolution and I myself am getting better every year. To compose better, thorough music theory is also important. Just as you can express yourself better with more vocabulary, you can write better music and translate your idea into notes better with more music knowledge. The importance of this is often underestimated. For me, music theory (all the basic knowledge but especially harmony and counterpoint) go hand in hand.

My name is Federico and I am a professional and Award Winning saxophone player. I worked at Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles as an Assistant Professor of Jeroen Van Herzeele the jazz saxophone professor. I graduated at Conservatorio G.Martucci of Salerno (Italy) and had both Bachelor and Master with full marks with honors. During the course of my studies i also spent two academic years abroad , one at the Kask and Conservatorium of Ghent with the supervision of Bart Defoort and one at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Bruxelles with John Ruocco. In 2017 i won the "Massimo Urbani International Jazz Competition" prize that saw as head of the jury Kurt Rosenwinkel & Fabrizio Bosso. I play in several Jazz bands and I have been performing all around Europe. I recorded a solo album called "Right Now" with the famous Italian label "Philology Records" & the album"Supernova" with my own band. I also recorded several albums with different bands and of many styles, from jazz, funk to pop. I toured with the famous Italian Drummer Tullio De Piscopo (Pino Daniele, Mina, Astor Piazzolla's drummer) and also had the chance to make a variety of television appearances on Italian National Television (Rai1, Rai5, Rai3). I'm Giorgos and i teach Lute and Classical guitar! I have over 15 years of teaching experience, and have studied and have my Degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, both in Classical Guitar as well as Historical Plucked instruments. I regularly perform in concert halls with orchestras and groups all around Europe, perform with my own ensembles based in Brussels and Italy, and enjoy an active teaching schedule. My aim with teaching is to find the best way to facilitate the student to find their own voice and direction, and to help steer them on their preferred road of performance. The schedule and repertoire are decided by the student, and we plot a course together depending on your goals, whether that's aiming to place into an academy or the conservatories, or if you just enjoy playing music as a hobby and wish that it accompanies you through your life! During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

My name is Marie, I am 28 years old and I graduated from a Masters in cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. The cello is my passion, my profession, my life companion. I have been teaching for several years. I have at heart to transmit my interest for this instrument; this is why I continue to train within the conservatory. I spent a year in Denmark for a master's degree in education. An exciting year in a country where empathy is given a major role in teaching and where learning is based on the latest discoveries in neuroscience. I am Henry, concert pianist, currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I have had extensive experience as a soloist on stages and in concerts, as well as experience as a teacher for children and adults with very good results. In my classes I aim to transmit first of all my passion and love for music. I like to prepare a personalized programme adapted to the level and exigencies of each pupil. I also aim to include some violin duos, to be played with me during the lessons, as I believe playing with other musicians is one of the best ways to enjoy music and learn useful musical and technical skills at the same time. Another essential factor in my classes is correct and natural posture while playing, to let music heal our souls instead of hurting our bodies! ;) I have been practicing Yoga for a few years, and have experienced the importance of good posture and targeted light stretching, especially for younger players in a phase of growth and change. I like to help pupils to develop good technical skills in a fun way, always applying technique to targeted repertoire and keeping in mind that technique is nothing but a means of expressing ourselves through music. I give lessons in English, French, Italian and Spanish.
