This piano lesson aims to provide a holistic learning to students of all levels and all ages, where they not only acquire techniques and skills through the process, but also develop the interest and the ability to achieve musicality and artistic level. In the class, we will build up the strength and skill of piano, identifying your goal and something you want to work on, and look after your mental and physical well-being in order to achieve the joy and fulfillment learning piano. This piano lesson can be conducted in English or Chinese Mandarin.

I believe lessons should be first and foremost enjoyable, but also serve as a means to break new ground and inspire as much practice as possible at home! So we'll start by establishing an objective of the student's choice that reflects their ambitions, and then work through the appropriate techniques, exercises, and repertoire that allows us to get there in as enjoyable a way as possible! The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.
