I am enthusiastic and friendly, I make clear and concise plans on how students can progress. I am able to tailor each lesson to the pupils needs and make sure that both pupil and parent can hear and see this progress. I like to reward diligence and effort and so run regular practice competitions.

One to One, Trumpet, and Music Theory tution. For, pupils, who want to play trumpet, or musicians to enhance their theory knowledge.

Trumpet lessons will consist of strengthening technique pallette, rep up to grade 6. Music Theory teaching will be from grades 1-5, touching on A level score analysis and advanced theoretical knowledge; e.g. Chords, Scales, Cadences, Circle of Fifths Intervalic Relations, Basic Composition, Functional & Extended Harmony

Lois is available to teach Flute from beginner to Grade 8 and Music Theory and Recorder up to ABRSM Grade 5.

Lois delivers fun and energetic flute lessons which touch on basic theory knowledge to develop musicianship skills. She is always developing and adapting her teaching styles to fit the different needs of her pupils and encourages her students to join musical activities and enter ABRSM/Trinity exams.

I specialise in tutoring in music theory, music composition, and "classical" vocal lessons. My focus is to personalise each lesson to the students' needs and be supportive in the areas needed for development. I have been teaching music for over 10 years both in schools and as a private tutor, ranging from interactive workshops with primary students to university-level one-to-one composition. I have previously been the resident composition teacher at Eton College (2015-17) and City of London School for Girls (2017-20), as well as delivering workshops at schools around the country in a visiting capacity. I am as comfortable working with students taking their very first steps in theory and composition as I am with those who are more advanced, and can teach across a variety of styles and genres including classical, jazz, rock and musical theatre.
