Hi everyone, my name is Irineu and I am a saxophonist and saxophone teacher.

I recently graduated from Kingston University, and I have already 6 years of teaching experience.

I teach students of all ages.

I studied on the Jazz course at Leeds College of Music for my undegraduate degree, and recently completed an MA in Performance at the School of Oriental and African Studies(University of London), achieving a distinction.
As a musician I primarily play Folk/World Music/Jazz. However, I trained classically before atttending music college and am available to take students through classical grades/repertoire if desired.
All ages and abilities are welcome, Trinity Guildhall/ ABRSM syllabus can be covered, I am also fully DBS checked.

Lessons tailored according to the student level and future goals.
We will focus mostly on finding your natural sound and explore the possibilities of unique instrument.

I find teaching very rewarding and I deeply enjoy to see the development of the students through the year . I teach from beginner to advanced in Recorder ( to diploma) Piano to Diploma and Clarinet to Grade 8_ I have been teaching for many years and my approach has evolved over the many years that I have been teaching so i can teach most children and adults who are keen to learn a musical instrument and raise their self esteem as i also enter them for grade exams when they are ready and willing, and also provide performance opportunities at a local church for all my students young and old. Exams are not compulsory as they are not exclusively the means of progress, which often comes from inner motivation

The recorder is more than a squealing school instrument, it has a long history, has a beautiful tone and is an excellent gateway instrument if you want to learn other wind instruments. It teaches you finger control, breath control and how to read music without worrying about extra keys, reaching for notes if you have small hands or holding a heavy instrument.

I have a Post Graduate Diploma from the Royal College of Music on the recorder having studied it as my main instrument for six years. I have taught recorder both privately, in group lessons and as a whole class curriculum music instrument.

With my holistic approach, I make learning enjoyable whilst inspiring pupils to try different styles of music from the Blues to Classical. I can teach using the grade system with either examination body or I can teach for the enjoyment of a pupil learning music.

I have a 100% pass rate on exams and have organised school concerts, performances at school fairs and small performances to children's classes or teachers.

Alongside my main instrument, I teach beginner flute and clarinet.

Loretta's piano lessons provide a relaxing, fun and professional music platform for children to learn to play piano pieces and read music as well as receiving training on the basic technical skills, such as scales, aural skills and sight-reading skills. Children acquire the abstract Music knowledge and theories through various Music games, images, mnemonics and stories. In addition, if children wish to take graded piano examinations, they will also be prepared and trained for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) from grade 1 up to grade 8.
