Hello, how are you? Nice to meet you all! I'm Arlette, a qualified music teacher.

✅I have studied piano and music production at the private university UPC and musical pedagogy plus Peruvian cajón at the José María Arguedas National University

🏅I have been teaching for over 15 years in schools and with private students. As a composer and teacher, I have won awards in various national competitions and recorded an album of my own with 13 songs😊.

✅I have two methods created especially to help you read and play with more dynamism. I have prepared and accompanied my students to compete in the nationals, obtaining first places, and I have performed concerts so that they can develop musically and generate self-confidence.

✅ I love teaching you different types of music for your versatility.

✅Teaching is personalized, because each student has a different learning pace and progress is better.

✅I work with children from 4 years old and older, technique, development, physical and heart interpretation. I have material so that we can work on melody/rhythm/laterality.

I make the scores, arrangements and audios myself. 💪☺️

✅I teach classes online, in person (at my home and/or at the student's home)

🛑I can teach in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

P.S.: I'm in Barcelona in February and I can give face-to-face classes. At the moment I'm doing a diploma in another country and I can give online classes (Skype) so you can see me and I have cameras to be able to give you class ☺️🏅🎶💪

I'm a musician, composer and producer from the UK with more than 20 yrs teaching experience.
I give classes for guitar, bass guitar, theory, composition, arranging, mixing and production in English with intermediate Spanish.

I have my own approach to teaching drawn from my own inspirational teachers and the experience of teaching, performing and recording for over 30 years.

I adapt to the needs and goals of the student, but a typical 1st year class for guitar would involve focusing on a variety of pieces in different styles and suggestions of any helpful technical exercises, reading, rhythm playing, expanding chord/harmony knowledge and supporting theory. In time I would include new techniques as required by the piece and style and improvisation/composition to follow the student’s interest.

I have developed an accelerated program with the goal of the student playing their favourite pieces as soon as possible. My constant aim is to find the right balance between student motivation and a thorough musical grounding, equipping the student for the future.

If you're starting or improving guitar or need help with your songs ask me anything.

Piano lessons in Jazz, Classical, or Modern styles; depending on the student's interest, we can mix a bit of everything or delve deep into one style.

Main focus applied to overcome the problem of piano: mastering two-handed rhythm. To achieve this, I teach left-hand grooves and foundations while working on improvisation, harmony, melodies, accompaniments, and everything there is to play with the right hand. I introduce piano techniques such as walking bass, tenths, stride, drop 2, and more.

From my experience, rhythm, "Groove", and the connection with the music in the moment it is being played are the most challenging aspects to learn and integrate. Thus, I give significant emphasis to these topics in my sessions, especially those aimed at playing polyrhythmic instruments such as the piano.

I cover compositional tools, approaching Jazz Standards, accompaniment techniques, improvisation methods for any instrument, Blues tools, methods to strengthen the relationship with the instrument, analysis, and listening skills. I also teach classical piano for those interested, and offer specific training in rhythm and percussion.

I am fully committed to my students.

With over 12 years of experience in music education, both in individual and group settings, I have a good rapport with boys and girls.

Feel free to reach out, my friend! Long live music.

My teaching method adapts to each student's needs and prior knowledge. I place great importance on ensuring they can play from the beginning, incorporating music theory gradually and always based on the needs of each piece or exercise. This way, we avoid overwhelming them with abstract concepts and learn them in context, when they're truly needed.

I am patient and flexible, and I understand that each person has their own pace, strengths, and challenges.
The goal is to provide personalized support throughout the learning process, making each class enjoyable, stimulating, and enriching.
