About Me
I am a 21 year old trumpet player from & currently based on Vancouver Island Canada. I have a Bachelor of Music (BMus) from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
Previous teaching experience originated at a young age, where I mentored Elementary - Secondary age trumpet players at local schools. This extended into building a private teaching practice in Amsterdam during my undergrad, with local and remote students.
My main goal as a teacher is to connect with each student as an individual and provide motivation & inspiration, inside and outside of the music world. I teach my students how to "teach themselves" in a way; essentially providing different methods and tools to solve issues that may arise when playing the trumpet. Of course this also means I put an emphasis on a solid technical foundation on the instrument. All over all however, I have a firm belief that before everything, my lessons should be a fun and safe environment for my students to express themselves musically and personally, experiment, create, and enjoy playing, and it's my pleasure to be alongside them and provide help along the way.
