Learning to play the guitar can be an amazing experience at every stage of the process! My ultimate goal is to help my students to develop their skills and musical understanding by learning and playing music that they like.

Therefore I adapt my teaching methodologies to the tastes and needs of every student. Throughout every lesson, we will work on three main courses of development: technical aspects, theoretical knowledge, and performative practice.

My classes are open for anyone who would like to enjoy exploring the universe of music: beginners and advanced, children and adults, you are all welcome to book the first lesson.

With more than 10 years of experience teaching and performing, a graduated musician form the Conservatory of Amsterdam offers affordable lessons on music and guitar. The main goal is: learn by playing the music that you love!
Through flexible scheduling and pricing, learning music can be a wonderful experience for everyone!

Classical Music Degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, followed by studies in music cognition at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. Previously studied at Conservatorio Gilardo Gilardi in La Plata, Argentina.

You will start to enjoy playing the piano both during and outside of the time of the class. You will learn how to be able to perform in a way that inspires your audience. I will teach you the basic music theory without going way deep into it because this is a performance class but you will learn what you need to excel in your performance. Additionally, I will teach you the principles of aesthetics of playing the piano. The repertoire that I focus on is mostly Western modern and Classical music, but we can also work on some famous Persian and Turkish pieces if you like. Of course, you are also always welcome to bring your favorite pieces to the class. Contact me for availability.

Have you been curious how guitarists can come up with a solo on the spot and play for what seems like hours? That is exactly the point of this lesson.

We will focus on you learning a few basic scales so that you can improvise over most rock and blues songs. Progressively, we will build your finger muscle strength, and correct techniques for playing.

I have taught past students and got them to successfully learn the basics of improvisation that lead them to develop their own soloing style.

This improvisation course is made for beginners.

My name is Ben (26), and I'm a certified drum teacher with about 15 years of experience behind the kit. Previously I have studied jazz drums at Kunstuniversitat of Graz. Currently I'm teaching at multiple institutions in Amsterdam such as: Lucky Beat Music Club, United Pop, British School of Amsterdam.

I want to be that person who will awake the drummer inside of who is wanting to learn. I feel fortunate that I'm able to do what I've studied and get to live my passion. There is nothing better than to see a student improve, develop and see when they finally start to "get it".

Learning should be fun and efficient! That is my philosophy in teaching the piano!

As a versatile music professional my aim is to teach not only skills in piano playing but also music knowledge and music theory, depending on the level of the student.

I am a pianist and piano teacher from Finland with a ten year experience in teaching piano in a music school children. I have a Master's degree from the prestigious music university Sibelius Academy (Finland) in piano performance, as well as a Master's degree in Music research (University of Helsinki, Finland).

Currently I am on leave of absence of my permanent lecturer's position in a Finnish music school because I am working on my PhD degree. However when living in Amsterdam I am looking forward to teach a few students!

Hello,

My name is Jaime and I am a Spanish clarinet player, composer, and teacher.
With over years of experience playing the clarinet and having immersed myself in teaching for the last few years,
I am currently completing my professional studies in clarinet and composition at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam
with professors Arno Piters (Royal Concertgebouw Orkest) and Hans Colbert (Residentie Orkest Den Haag).

I see teaching not only as a way to pass on my (still growing) knowledge but also as a way to learn along with my students in a cheerful and inspiring way.
During our classes, we will learn the basics of clarinet playing, as well as how to use these basics to build your own way of playing and learn simple songs, intermediate pieces, or world-class concertos!

If clarinet is not your thing but you want to learn music theory I can also help you with personalized classes to suit your needs.
Maybe you want to learn basic notation reading or solfege, or perhaps you want to audition for a renowned institution as the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Mixing a recorded music is the art to connect musical ideas to emotions.
Whether it is your music or someone else’s recordings, I’ll help you develop your skills in order to give the perfect “make up” to any song.

But what exactly is Music Mixing Engineering?
Imagine that you recorded drums, bass, keyboard, guitars and vocal.

Now you have to put everything together and be able to listen to all the instruments with perfect sonic separation. You need to match the emotional intention of the composer to the emotions of the listener.
The decision to make the voice louder or not, bring the guitars to attention only in a specific moment of the song, specify the type of reverberation and so many other decisions is the responsibility of the one working on the mix.

I’ll teach you all the 7 main steps for every successful mix and work in-depth each of those according to your development or previous knowledge.

I’ll fine tune the lessons specifically for your needs.

We can work with your recordings, but if you don't have one, don't worry.
I'll bring multi-tracks recordings of different genres for you to learn and practice along.

Common Questions:

- Do I need to be a musician to mix a music?
Although it certainly helps, you don't need to know how to play any instrument.

- I don't have monitors or an acoustically treated room, can I learn anyway?
For sure yes.
You can use headphone and simple speakers like the one from your notebook, for example.
Once you'll understand the techniques and develop your hearing, you move to the next level.

- Which software (DAW) should I use?
If you're starting now, I recommend Reaper or Logic Pro.
If you're already experienced, any DAW of your preference.

During my singing lessons we’ll focus on your vocal technique to increase your vocal range, build vocal strength and stamina, improve your breathing and gain control over your instrument . We’ll work on multiple musical and vocal styles, sing high and low notes with ease, and most importantly, we’ll focus on finding your own voice while having fun doing it.

All you need for these lessons is passion for singing and a song of your choice. During the first lesson we’ll discuss your goals and wishes and have a little try at a few vocal exercises. Next, we’ll work on the song of your choice with the focus on the things you’d like to improve. After the lesson you’ll receive a little summary of your strengths, focus points and a plan with how we’ll work to achieve your goals. There will always be a small homework or exercise you’ll need to work on at home to help you achieve what we planned.

You'll learn how to use the voice in the proper way, starting by your natural speech and developing it to find your own sound. I have experience in both Pop and Jazz styles (a Bachelor in Jazz Singing and a degree in Jazz Composition), so it's possible to study songs from both this repertoires.
