About Me
I am a professional singer specializing in opera and other classical genres. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Interpretation from the Université de Montréal and have had the privilege of studying with renowned masters such as Renata Scotto and Mariella Devia. Alongside my performing career, I’m passionate about working with semi-professional and amateur adult singers who are eager to develop their vocal technique. Together, we focus on freeing the voice, deepening breath support, and expanding your range through mindful and personalized work. My goal is to help you discover the full potential of your sound in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Education
I am a professional singer with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Interpretation from the Université de Montréal, specializing in opera and other classical genres.
Experience / Qualifications
The French lyrical soprano Olivia Le Roux recently made her Maltese debut as Prue in the world premiere of Trab the Rest is Dust by composer Reuben Pace, performed in Rabat Malta in April 2025.
Her sensuous and vibrant portrayal received acclaim from critic Yehuda Shapiro in Opera Today and Opera.co.uk.
Looking ahead, Olivia looks forward to making her debut with Reisenederland Opera in 2026, starring as Angelika in the world premiere of To Die For [A Comedy] by Elena Langer}. This production will tour across the Netherlands and feature performances at the Buxton Opera Festival in the UK.
In April 2022, Olivia made her role debut as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni in Greece, working with Teatro Grattacielo and the Sinfonietta Hellenica under Maestro Georgios Galanis.
Her other operatic roles include Lia in Debussy’s L’enfant Prodigue, performed with the North Wales Opera Studio at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in 2018, as well as operatic scenes as Antonia (Tales of Hoffmann) and Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) with the Atelier Lyrique d’Opéra at the University of Montreal, under the direction of Robin Wheeler. Olivia was also a valued chorus member at Grange Park Opera during their 2019 season.
She won 3rd Prize at the inaugural IMC International Music Competition in 2022 and received the Mario Lanza Educational Foundation Grant in Great Britain in 2019.
Olivia holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Université de Montréal and has further refined her artistry through masterclasses with distinguished artists including Renata Scotto (Curso de Interpretacion at Amigos de la Ópera de A Coruña), Eleonora Pacetti (Opera Fabbrica di Roma), and Margreet Honig, among others.
