I am specialized in teaching adults the cello. Adults learn much faster then children, you will be surprised how quickly you are able to play your first song. If you do not have a cello yet; I do.
The lessons are full hour lessons and given in a nice studio in the Amsterdam Houthavens, with floor cooling and heating.
We play duets from your first lesson and I accompany you on the piano.
I also host cello weekends and workshops, from beginners on to advanced players.
Since I rent out cello's you are able to rent the correct size.
I also sell beautiful old and new cellos.

About Me

I started quit late to play the cello; I was 19. That is why I still recall my lessons and struggles: that is so very usefull! Since I really enjoy working with adults only, I hope you will join us. I have about 50 students, and they prefer to choose a weekly or two weekly hour. You decide on which day and what time. I rent out all sizes of cello's and orgnaise lots of nice cello happenings. Do you care to join us?

Education

I started to play the cello when I played the piano at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague. From my first cello lesson on, I was lost for the cello. After private education I got my degree on the Hoge school Artez, Zwolle, teacher Ran Varon.

I teach the cello for 25 years, with lots of pleasure! That's why I also host celloweekends and workshops for all levels. I made online cello courses; it's great value for money.

My name is Francisco, I come from Spain and I am currently studying the 2nd year Bachelor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam

I have already experience teaching. I have tought previuously in Spain for 3 years to children, but I would also teach adult student.

Cello and/or Music theory lesson for children, adolescent and adult of any level, from beginner to advanced level.
The lesson will be in English or in French.
The most important things to me is to combined pleasure, hard working and sharing.

I involve my students in the process of investigating problems and experimenting with solutions. This gives people a better understanding of the challenges, and motivates them to engage with those.

Hello everyone, I'm Enrico and I come from Italy. Right now I am in Utrecht where I am doing a master's degree in cello under the guidance of Timora Rosler.
During my years of studies I always had the possibility to teach music, in fact while I was doing my Bachelor in Italy at the Conservatory of Turin, I taught cello and music theory in a private music school called "Isla de Musiqueros", in this school I had the opportunity to teach people of all ages, including children under 4 years old.
When I moved to the Netherlands little by little I started to find students and many many concerts.

I believe that playing is the best way to have fun and express your emotions, the work I want to do is work on tensions and try to help you melt away while playing, in this way you can have more sound and feel more free.

As a cellist I've had the pleasure and honour of collaborating with renowned artists such as Hans Zimmer, being part of his 2022 European Tour Orchestra, touring over 15 countries and playing in locations such as London's O2 Arena or Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. I am now mainly active as a performer of contemporary/experimental music, as well as classical music, freelancing in various orchestras in the Netherlands, having played in venues such as Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Concertgebouw or TivoliVredenburg.
