I was born in Tokyo and soon after moved to the US, growing up in cities like Boston, Chicago, Singapore, Austin, and Tokyo. This diverse background has given me a unique perspective on language and culture, which I bring into my teaching. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Law and Politics from Keio University in Tokyo. During my university days, I developed a genuine interest in traveling the world and backpacked through South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Professionally, I’ve pursued a career in banking, advertising, and a food-tech start-up. In this class I offer engaging and supportive tutoring sessions with High School content level up to the last year of I/GCSE in Math, English and Economics. Blair began violin at age 6, studying under a number of world-class teachers including Sebastian Muller, Prof. Yair Kless, Michael Malmgreen, Milan Vitek, Soon-Mi Chung, Mauricio Fuks and Detlef Hahn. Attending the Junior Royal Northern College of Music, he also developed his abilities across a range of studies, pursuing both classical and jazz piano, conducting and composition. Receiving a BMus (Hons) from the Royal Northern College of Music, Blair led ensembles including RNCM String Orchestra, Session Orchestra and was a founding member of the UnHeard Hybrid Orchestra and John Phillips Quartet. Currently undergoing a Master's in Live Electronics at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Blair explores the combining of his traditional instruments with live electronic extensions. With a strong passion for both contemporary and classical repertoire, I prioritise creating a supportive environment where you can confidently explore your musical creativity. As your teacher, I aim to empower you to discover new styles while staying grounded in foundational techniques. If you're motivated and eager to learn, I'd be delighted to work with you. I adopt a unique, holistic approach to movement that combines elements of yoga, tai chi and breathwork. Some of the benefits of a regular practice include a healthier, more supple spine, increased range of motion, greater joint stability, improved agility and athletic performance and a deep internal strength. This course is created for people of any age who want to learn how to play the drums. It doesn't matter if you have no experience or if you are already a skilled drummer, this class has a complete program that teaches everything from the basics to more advanced rhythms. Students will be able to learn and practice in a positive and motivating atmosphere, with individualized instruction based on their level of skill. By the end of the class, students will have a strong understanding of drumming and the ability to perform at different levels.

Hi everyone! Bonjour! I'm Alexandre, a French student now living in Amsterdam for an internship. As you could imagine, I'm here to teach French! I am an enthusiastic tutor who can make learning fun and relevant. I enjoy teaching my tongue language and like seeing my students making progress in French! I started teaching French last year in Lyon, and I want to continue this experience and make Dutch-interested people better at speaking and reading, also by learning more about French culture. I did two years of science preparatory class (intensive studies) and I've now finished my first year of Business school in France (emlyon business school). We practice speaking, reading, and writing with my students. I teach from scratch and to a desirable result! I am very friendly and the atmosphere is always nice during the lesson! Who? I am a twenty-eight-year-old French and U.S. Anthropology student. I am trained in FLE (French as a Second Language) and have worked for the National French Education Ministry as a Middle School Teacher on the beautiful island of Mayotte. Following that exotic experience, I decided to change course and study Anthropology all the while teaching French as a Second Language on a freelance basis. I moved to the Netherlands just recently and have decided to continue practicing as a French tutor. I have also tutored English classes in France for five years. What? I offer French or FLE (French as a Second Language) courses based on multiple sources and I regularly renew them because it is important to be in adequacy with today's society. As I just started learning Dutch, I teach in English all the while aiming for 90% French during the class. Where? Normally I go to the learner's home. For the moment, online courses are also popular. When? I work every day of the week.

Amanda started studying the violin from age 4 with various teachers from the Sydney Conservatorium (incorporating influences from Suzuki and Alexander methods) and obtained a distinction in Licentiate of Violin Performance from the Australian Music Examination Board. In addition, she has performed in orchestral projects across Australia, Asia and Europe (including but not limited to the Australian Youth Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra Singapore and the Hong Kong Orchestra) and also enjoys curating chamber music projects as well as improvising with pop and theatre groups. Amanda works very closely with her students to design a learning approach that works for both teacher and student, depending on various factors including but not limited to the student's musical background, technique and their commitment to learning. She can guide absolute beginners (children/adults) and/or people who stopped playing for a time and would now like to reconnect with the instrument. Nothing beats the feeling of making a beautiful sound on an instrument like the violin!
