I teach a range of disciplines, including piano, guitar, vocals, songwriting, and music theory. Having taught students of all ages and different levels of musicianship, I am pleased to say that I have built long-lasting relationships with many of my students. With an emphasis on creativity and student input; my lessons allow students to discover their own playing style and musical direction. I strongly believe that people learn best when they enjoy what they’re doing, and I incorporate this into my teaching style. Hi, I’m Sarah! I am both an Opera Singer and a classroom Music Teacher. My love for teaching and singing have always lived side by side. I Began studying music in Italy at the age of eight. I’ve started first with classical music achieving a Piano Bachelor with the highest marks of the session. During my studies besides Classical Music I've been focusing my interest and enthusiasm on jazz music. Until today I've worked as Classical and jazz Pianist, composer and session musician in Europe, USA and UK. I’ve always been teaching privately classical and jazz music, Theory, Harmony, composition and improvisation. I’ve started teaching to my students my own idea of music and my personal approach with the instrument, trying always to encourage and stimulate their own musical unicity as I have done and I still do with myself.

I am a composer/pianist currently studying at Royal College of Music. I started studying music at quite young, but never found my passion in it until my late teenage years. Now music is such an integral part of my life and well being, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences to support others on their musical journeys. As a teacher I am very flexible and can adapt to how you want to learn, I also take a creative approach to teaching piano so that my students develop their musicianship and composition skills while learning the piano. As a composer, I always bring elements of music theory and composition into my piano teaching, so that my students can develop their musicianship and creativity while improving their piano playing skills. My teaching philosophy is that the most important aspect of learning music is to find one’s interest and passion in it, and my goal as a teacher is to support my students and help them find their passion in music; However, I am familiar with the ABRSM examinations and have a Grade 8 certificate myself, and I always tailor my lessons to different students based on what they are looking for.

I can tutor beginners to the piano or classical-converts who are looking to experience jazz by condensing my education down into core principles. This method of learning helps you move away from the books and to start enjoying the piano with more confidence and skill. I teach with a strong emphasis on theory and aural listening and with my resources I can take you through basics to more advanced lessons. I'm also fully equipped to teach music theory classes and to tutor in GCSE and A-Level music (composition, particularly) as well as teaching early level classical piano (up to ABRSM Grade 6). Whether you're looking for chord skills on the piano or want to become an improviser, these are the lessons for you!

About the classes: Created for complete beginners and those with some experience of Piano and Singing technique, this classes serve as an ideal starting point to develop piano and singing technique, to work on improvisation skills and sight-reading, to learn in depth music theory and chords and also to explore various music genres, to build up personal portfolio, self-confidence and stage presence. Special programme for younger beginners “Music Wonderland” has been specifically designed for children as young as 3.5 up to 7 years old. In addition I offer classes on music yoga and therapy which bring harmony, balance and open creative powers of an artist. Classes take place individually and in a group.

This class is for anyone who's looking to pick up a new musical instrument! It'll be up to the student or parent how they would like classes conducted and whether they would prefer to have assignments. It would be delightful to meet people from all ages and all walks of life.

Online piano lessons for all ages, and from very beginners up to ABRSM grade 8. Focussed on learning classical technique, along with supporting music theory, but while making it fun along the way. Lessons will take place online, preferably via Zoom, but I can use other software if needed. My preference is to use Faber's Piano Adventures method, but I will always be flexible to the needs of the student. I am able to prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity exams where appropriate.
