Hello there, I am Jools, London based session musician and music tutor. I have classical training on piano, having studied for 11 years. I was lucky enough to work for FunKeys For Kids: that gave the chance to do peripatetic teaching and work with kids. And definitely there is nothing better than trying to show the passion for music. My classes are generally for beginners and whoever wants to step into learning piano. I do as well one to one tuitions where I am focusing more on right and left hand technique, sight reading, harmony. Lessons are usually 3/4hr or one hour. Please see my profile for more information on my approach. I have very limited availability at the moment but if it's online lessons I have more than the calendar shows. The class is tailored to the individual but in general technique and musicality go hand in hand. I am strong on the reading of music as this gives the student all the necessary tools to read so many different genres of music... and to then be free of music if that is the goal.

Hello! My name is Emily and I’m a professional singer and a passionate and experienced singing and piano teacher with 15 years of teaching experience to students of all ages and abilities. As a teacher, my main goal is to make your lessons fun, rewarding and enjoyable (as music making should be!) whilst supporting and encouraging you every step of the way in your development. In your singing lessons, we will work on building your technique and musicality, your repertoire in multiple genres as well as your confidence as a performer. I teach a solid classical based technique which can then be applied to multiple genres of music. As an accomplished pianist I will accompany you at the piano as you sing your chosen songs. (For online lessons I will find suitable backing tracks.) In your piano lessons, for beginners - I will determine the appropriate starting materials based on your age, innate ability, and level of understanding. For those who have already been learning and are looking to resume their studies, I will facilitate a seamless and supportive transition. I will work closely with you to gain a thorough understanding of your needs and ensure the most effective path forward. If you are interested in having both singing and piano lessons, you can have an hour lesson comprising of half singing and half piano. I have over 10 years of experience in preparing students for exam grades, and work with the ABRSM syllabus and the Trinity syllabus. My students have a 100% pass rate, with the majority achieving a Merit or Distinction. I look forward to hearing from you and making music with you!

About the classes: Created for complete beginners and those with some experience of Piano and Singing technique, this classes serve as an ideal starting point to develop piano and singing technique, to work on improvisation skills and sight-reading, to learn in depth music theory and chords and also to explore various music genres, to build up personal portfolio, self-confidence and stage presence. Special programme for younger beginners “Music Wonderland” has been specifically designed for children as young as 3.5 up to 7 years old. In addition I offer classes on music yoga and therapy which bring harmony, balance and open creative powers of an artist. Classes take place individually and in a group.

I am a trained professional singer with a Bachelors degree in music from the University of Bristol. As well as singing, I play piano and conduct a professional choir. I'm based near Blackhorse Road station in Walthamstow and teach in my house. I teach all ages and all levels for singing and am happy either working towards grades or just singing for fun. I also teach music theory up to grade 5 to provide pupils with a strong foundation for progressing to the higher grades. I am able to provide socially distant lessons within my own home as well as online. For me the most important thing about music lessons is that they should be enjoyable, whether or not you are working towards an exam. Singing can improve confidence in young children, provide a space to let off some steam for adults or anything in between. I tweak my lesson style based on what you want to get out of the time. I have a 100% pass rate for all my pupils for both singing and theory.

I am a professional guitarist with over 20 years of experience in playing live and as a session musician. In addition, I have been teaching guitar, piano and music technology for over 10 years in schools and colleges. My guitar teaching method (Acoustic and Electric) includes rhythm and lead guitar, technique, music theory, notation – as well as preparing students for Trinity & ABRSM grades (all pass with a “Merit”!). All ages and levels are welcome. I also teach piano/ keyboard at beginner levels and that includes learning notes, scales, right & left-hand technique and also preparing for grades. * Music technology lessons are also available (recording, mixing, and software such as Pro Tools, Logic & Cubase). The lessons are tailored to every individual student’s needs, interests, age, level, and style. Hold a valid DBS check.

I specialize in teaching music theory and piano, especially for songwriters, drawing from my background of classical piano, my MA in songwriting, and my career as a published singer/songwriter. I assign creative exercises as homework, and I try to not let any question unanswered! For instrumentalists, we will look at the piano and some of its different techniques - classical, jazz, accompanying yourself, with focus on what the student actually wants to learn. For songwriters, we will go through music theory basics, and then basic harmony until we will be able to construct own our songs.

A good curriculum in learning piano that learner good in sight reading, fingers coordination, multi task implementation enjoy playing piano just a few lessons. Precise rhythm appreciation and fast notes reading with two hands play together, not by hearing or memorise method, teach you how to think correctly and instruct fingers playing.

Online piano lessons for all ages, and from very beginners up to ABRSM grade 8. Focussed on learning classical technique, along with supporting music theory, but while making it fun along the way. Lessons will take place online, preferably via Zoom, but I can use other software if needed. My preference is to use Faber's Piano Adventures method, but I will always be flexible to the needs of the student. I am able to prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity exams where appropriate.

If you already play the piano, we can work specifically on technique, musical expression, and your current repertoire. If you are returning to the piano after several years, we can assess where you are and find the best way to continue developing your playing.
