In the teaching field, I teach classes at my academy, located on Ricardo Ortiz Street, where my professional studio is also located. With over 8 years of experience as a teacher, I currently teach more than 130 classes per month. My method is completely personalized, adapted to each student's pace and goals. CLASSES IN SPANISH, CATALAN, FRANÇAIS, DEUTSCH, ENGLISH I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège. I live in Madrid and I'm a student pursuing a higher degree in singing (jazz and contemporary music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (music and language) through private online or in-person lessons. I started giving private lessons to children at their homes when I lived in Germany. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I taught piano to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia). I studied piano and other instruments for over 15 years at the UGDA and the Luxembourg City Conservatory. After many years of solfège and piano, I obtained the Conservatory's "Première Mention" certificate with the highest possible grade, "Très Bien". A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student. I hope I can encourage you to move forward with your musical learning, and if that's the case, don't hesitate to write to me with any questions you may have :) See you soon! Aurélie

*North Madrid based* I'm Aoife (Ifa), an infant & primary school teacher from Ireland, currently working in a private British school in Chamartín. As a teacher, I am enthusiastic, adaptable and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of learning. I target lessons to ensure each student’s needs and wants are being met, whilst ensuring enjoyment and interest. I speak Spanish & English, so don’t worry if you are nervous about your child’s language level. For 20 years, I trained as a classical pianist with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Yearly, I achieved high marks as evidenced below in my transcripts. I am extremely skilled in playing various genres of piano as well as musical theory. I have taught private piano 1:1 lessons for 5 years, although for enjoyment, not classically. Conditions: - For student comfort, I can travel to your location after 5pm each evening. - Lessons are 45 minutes due to the fact that 1-hour exhausts the learning process and decreases attention, concentration and enjoyment for children. - To maintain and develop new skills, children should play the piano independently between lessons. - I will teach musical theory (reading music, rhythm, how songs are composed), musical literacy (musical chords/ scales, exercises) and songs (sight-reading, songs chosen by student) according to each student’s ability.

These classes seek to adapt 100% to the needs, tastes and influences of the student. You can sign up regardless of your age and level. From a pleasant work focused on satisfying the subjective concerns of each student, we will develop our technique and our knowledge and mastery of the instrument. You can learn music at any age. I give piano, singing and musical language classes to both children and adults, beginner and advanced levels. I prepare everything from official entrance tests to musical education to learning the songs you like the most. For me it is very important that the student understands the musical and technical concepts of the instrument to be able to gain autonomy in their learning every day. I create personalized classes because I believe that to feel like playing, we have to approach music from taste and enjoyment.

I am Violeta Amat, a pianist and actress living in Madrid. I am looking for students interested in exploring music and/or theater from both a technical and creative perspective. My experience and training in theater have allowed me to develop a pedagogical approach that combines both disciplines: music and theater. Theatrical tools allow me to work with students on stage fright and the development of their own sound through activities involving fantasy, play, and imagination. In this way, I teach both theater and music (piano) classes, either independently or by combining both disciplines.

In this course we will be introduced to a deeper and more interconnected musical knowledge through the piano. We will not only learn pieces for this instrument but we will also see the fundamentals of musical theory, we will practice intonation, auditory training (to recognize pitches, instrumental timbres, the structure of the pieces we listen to), improvisation and sound and musical creation (using sound and music technologies such as systems of harmony and counterpoint) and of course we will discuss historical musical events and reflect on different musical aesthetics. The objective of the course is to gain a broad understanding of musical phenomena and thus gain perspective to guide us towards those instruments, genres, styles and musical professions that most attract us.
