My teaching philosophy is to make the pupil feel confident, safe, important and valuable, truly enjoy music learning and performing process. Having learned the piano since the age of 5, I cultivated a strong sense of interest and passion in music, obtaining my ABRSM Grade 8 Piano practical certificate before finishing my secondary education. I also hold an ABRSM Grade 8 Music Theory. To improve myself as a performer and to acquire in-depth knowledge about music and piano playing, I have gone on to obtain my ABRSM Diploma (DipABRSM) in piano performance as well as LCM Diploma (DipLCM) in piano performance. I am also currently pursuing for my LRSM Diploma under ABRSM to further hone my skills in piano playing. Aside from solo piano playing, I enjoy performing with other musicians such as playing piano accompaniment for choirs and instrumentalists. I also perform regularly as a choral singer in concert halls. I'm an all-rounded teacher who is able to teach reading music notation, piano techniques, sight-reading, aural skills, music theory, and different styles of music in an engaging and effective way that will suit you or your children's needs.
