Zhaochi is a bass-baritone. He began his formal vocal studies under Professor Fu Haijing at Jilin Normal University, where he was awarded Second Prize at the Jilin Provincial Vocal Competition during his undergraduate studies. In 2022, he was admitted with first place to the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music in Milan, where he studied with Vita Alba Giuseppina Mosca and Umberto Finazzi. He made his operatic debut in 2023 as Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia at Teatro Carcano in Milan. He subsequently appeared in concert in Bussero. In 2024, he performed in concerts in Wrocław, reprised the role of Basilio with the Milan Conservatory, appeared at the Cagnoni Opera House’s Witches Festival, and sang Timur in Turandot at PIME Opera House.
