Depending on ambitions, needs, and desires, I adapt to different learning paces and timelines so that the discovery or resumption of the instrument takes place in the most natural and interesting way possible for both student and teacher. I can teach students the basics of piano (hand position, notes, and rhythms), but also how to read sheet music independently, play pieces from different genres (classical, jazz, contemporary, etc.), feel comfortable at the keyboard, and be able to improvise. The lesson is structured in several parts that blend practice and theory: first, a warm-up; then, a session focusing on a specific aspect of music (ear training, rhythm, or a theory lesson); then we learn to play one or two pieces chosen together; and finally, a more "free" session for improvisation or exploring a concept in greater depth. My methodology is designed to be reassuring and motivating: everyone is capable of enjoying playing the piano! I am therefore attentive to any potential difficulties and responsive in order to find solutions to overcome them.

I teach oud and other traditional Eastern and Greek music instruments (lavta, guitar in traditional and popular music), as well as Eastern modal music theory, providing a holistic structure for the comprehension of various popular and traditional music idioms of Greece and Eastern Mediterranean cultures. Singing plays a central role in my teaching method, approaching ornamentation, intonation and personal expression through the use of voice as an instrument, not in order to become a "singer", but to create a personal relationship with the music material and the qualities of sound. Theory is approached through a plethora of experimental exercises, considering specified intonation and modality of each music style in a general and solid structure.

Composition classes are designed for musicians who already have a solid understanding of note reading, rhythm, and harmony. Focused on developing your own style, we will review methodologies that facilitate composition, analyze orchestral scores and scores for other instruments, explore sources of inspiration, and discover orchestral instruments and their ranges. Using Logic Audio software, we will conduct initial experiments to grasp the concepts of timbre, space, and movement. We will first and foremost address rhythmic blocks by visualizing binary, ternary, and compound rhythms, particularly in improvisation. All attempts will be recorded on sheet music. Children aged 14 and up are welcome if they are truly motivated and already have musical experience.
