I'm Mary from Berlin. I'm a teacher and piano composer with 15 years of experience and also teach at a music school. I also have a bachelor's degree in teaching English. If you're interested in teaching your children how to play the piano in addition to theoretical knowledge, I'd be happy to help you. I prefer to adapt my lessons to the needs and wishes of my students. I believe that the teacher's main goal in the first lesson is to encourage students so that he or she can soon play the music of a famous composer and composer, cultivating a love of music in students' hearts from day one. I love my job. I teach Russian, German, and English in my apartment on Wilmersdorfer Str., Berlin, or online lessons.

Liebe Musikfreunde,

Dear Pianoteacher searchers !
If I should describe my piano lessons I would say that they are very playful! The talking and theory is secondary, most important is to play and then see how to listen and adapt from there. My students have fun, they enjoy our lessons, otherwise they don't practise and make progress :)
It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! I have teaching experiences since fourteen years, I studied music education, piano, harpsichord which I will use for your understanding. This year I will only focus on teaching people over 12 years old. If you live 15minutes by bike from me, there is the possibility to come to your home. Otherwise I will be teaching in Universität der Künste or at my home.
I wish you all the best in finding the right teacher. Hope to hear you soon !
Best wish, Simone

With a strong foundation in music theory, we will build piano skills from the basics up.

Having studied music for over 18 years, I am passionate about teaching others to experience and understand music to their fullest. I believe that interaction with the arts is an invaluable part of any persons educational and social being. My lessons are highly focused in music theory, understanding, and appreciation. Music has played a huge role in the development of my own life and I absolutely love sharing that experience with others.

About me, I am a graduate from the College of Music at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Hello there!

My name is Sara and I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher. I have been a pianist for about 15 years and started teaching it a while ago as well. I offer lessons in 3 different languages ( English, Arabic and German) for both beginner and intermediate levels.

I believe music should be enjoyed and comfortably played, allowing people to both connect with it and understand while challenging them to express themselves in new and different ways. Music lessons are fun and will be set to make the student confident and comfortable in their playing. If any student needs extra time or space to feel secure and safe, I will offer as much understanding and security as I can.
Trust is my number one motto, if for any reason a student feels pressured or uncomfortable they can come and talk to me directly and we shall figure out a way to make music learning fun and enjoyable for them.

I'd like to think of myself as someone who truly enjoys making a good change in the world and who tries to offer the best possible experience when getting to know the instrument and how to play it and I hope you find the trust in me to sign up for my class!

German below -
I started learning piano at the age of five and was lucky enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my university years at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and the University of the Arts Berlin, I had the chance to experience different teachers and approaches to music. Through this, I came to understand how important it is to find a teacher you connect with, and how our needs can change throughout our musical journey.

In my teaching, I prioritize giving my students the tools they need to become independent musicians themselves: knowing how to practice effectively, improving their sight-reading skills (which opens up an entire library of music), understanding their own strengths and areas where they can improve, and building a solid foundation of basic music theory as far as it is relevant for their piano playing.

A typical lesson looks like this: we start with a warm-up, review the previous week's practice, work on current repertoire, and set clear goals for the week ahead. I focus on helping students approach new music with more understanding and confidence.

At the same time, I feel that individuality can sometimes be overlooked in the process of improving as musicians. For me, it is equally important to leave space for creativity, through improvisation, exploring different interpretation options, listening to different recordings, and discovering different repertoire or musical styles.

I began playing the piano at the age of five and was fortunate enough to work with the same teacher for thirteen years. During my studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and the Berlin University of the Arts, I had the opportunity to encounter various teachers and different musical approaches. This helped me understand the importance of finding a teacher with whom you connect well and that our needs can change as we develop musically.

In my teaching, it is important to me to give my students the tools they need to become independent musicians: to know how to practice effectively, to further develop their sight-reading skills (which opens up a whole library of music), to recognize their own strengths and areas for improvement, and to build a solid foundation in music theory – insofar as it is relevant to their own piano playing.

A typical lesson looks like this: We start with a warm-up, review the week's practice, work on the current repertoire, and set clear goals for the coming week. My aim is to help my students learn new music with greater understanding and confidence.

At the same time, I feel that one's own individuality sometimes gets neglected in the process of musical development. For me, it's just as important to create space for creativity through improvisation, trying out different interpretations, listening to various recordings, and discovering different repertoires or musical styles.

German Version:

"A person and a piano are all that's needed to create a world."
– Chia-Chen – Pianist, Composer, Artist of Piano Improvisation, Music Educator
"When the world outside is loud and restless, every note you play becomes a protective net – and every pause turns into a place of quiet refuge.
In music, we encounter a serene, infinite love.
In my lessons, I invite you to explore this world: full of deep love, creativity, and expression.
Together, we walk the path where you become a creator yourself."
