Solfège all levels / Musical Theory all levels admitedTranslate this text using Google Translate.

[ENGLISH, SEE BELOW] A music theory course for anyone who wants to start with a solid foundation in music, or for an already advanced musician who wants to go further. This course is also perfect for an academy or conservatory student who wishes to prepare for the music theory exam. Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself. On the program (student's choice) - Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.) - Note readings in one or more keys - Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work - Encryption and recognition of agreements, - Transposition. This musical theory lesson suits to every level, from the one who wants to learn how to read music to the one who wants to know more about chords, transposition or polyrythms. This lesson is also perfect for a student who wants to prepare an examination. In despite the fact I called these lesson "Musical theory", it is firstly about understanding the music. And that can only be possible by ... doing music. So be aware that we will be singing, playing chords, clapping rhythms, ... My purpose is that the student understand by himself first, then the theory will come naturally. What we can do during a lesson (student can choose): - Ear training (Learn to catch a melody of one or several voices and write it down by ear, recognizing chords, recognizing rhythms, ...) - Rythmical work: learn to clap different rhythms in different time signatures. Also included polyrythms. - Key reading, in one or several keys. - Transposition (learn how to read a flute sheet while you're playing trumpet, ..)

Cello Lessons with a Conservatorium van Amsterdam Graduate — All Levels, AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Cello Lessons with a Conservatorium van Amsterdam Graduate — All Levels, AmsterdamTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I teach cello to students of all ages and levels: from complete beginners to those preparing for conservatory auditions. My goal is to build your technique and musicality together, step by step, so that you're always challenged but never overwhelmed. A typical lesson works on a mix of technique (posture, bow control, tone production), repertoire suited to your level and taste, and — if you want it — music theory and sight-reading. I'll set clear short-term goals with you each lesson and check in regularly on your progress, so you always know what you're working toward and why. I have experience teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD, and I adjust my pacing and explanations so lessons stay clear and comfortable rather than stressful. If you're an absolute beginner, don't worry — I've taught people who've never held a cello before, and we start exactly where you are. A bit about my background: I hold a Master of Music from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where I studied under Ella van Poucke, and I graduated cum laude from the Conservatory and University of Thessaloniki. With my quartet, I won First Prize and the Young Jury Prize at the Storioni Festival Competition 2026, and I've performed at venues including Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Lessons can be in English, Dutch, German, or Greek, in Amsterdam or online. Get in touch and tell me a bit about your goals — I'll tailor our first lesson around them. If you’re interested, feel free to contact me with any questions.

A QUICK SUMMARY OF SOUND CULTURE: Learn in 1 Hour What I Learned in Several MonthsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

You listen to music every day... but do you really understand what sound is, how it works, what it's made of, and how it has evolved throughout history? 🎯 Objective: I don't want to waste your time, so in just one hour, you'll discover everything I spent months learning about sound! You'll develop your sonic knowledge, understand sound in all its facets, ask all your questions, and leave with solid knowledge that you can immediately apply to your musical or personal journey. In my opinion, this introduction to sound culture is essential for any musician, composer, producer, or enthusiast who wants to master sound perfectly! My name is Salomon, and I've been a composer and producer for eight years. I studied at INA, worked at RMC and Abbey Road Studios, and produced music in many styles. I have a comprehensive skill set: computer music production, guitar, harmonica, and a very broad musical knowledge that I'd like to share. What you will learn and discover in 1 hour: * What sound actually is: vibrations, frequencies, amplitude, spectrum... explained simply * How our ear perceives and analyzes sounds (masking, pitch, timbre...) * The phenomena of sound through unexpected and fascinating facts * The impact of space, materials, and environment on sound * The concepts of sound perception and psychoacoustics * The history of sound: from its earliest explorations to the evolution of sound techniques Method: * The course is presented using a clear and structured PowerPoint presentation. * This is a time for discussion and questioning: your questions are at the heart of the course * In the end, you leave with: * the complete PDF support * all my sound resources for DAW * the possibility of contacting me at any time for your technical questions Send me a message so we can chat!

*North Madrid based* I'm Aoife (Ifa), an infant & primary school teacher from Ireland, currently working in a private British school in Chamartín. As a teacher, I am enthusiastic, adaptable and dedicated to delivering the highest quality of learning. I target lessons to ensure each student’s needs and wants are being met, whilst ensuring enjoyment and interest. I speak Spanish & English, so don’t worry if you are nervous about your child’s language level. For 20 years, I trained as a classical pianist with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Yearly, I achieved high marks as evidenced below in my transcripts. I am extremely skilled in playing various genres of piano as well as musical theory. I have taught private piano 1:1 lessons for 5 years, although for enjoyment, not classically. Conditions: - For student comfort, I can travel to your location after 5pm each evening. - Lessons are 45 minutes due to the fact that 1-hour exhausts the learning process and decreases attention, concentration and enjoyment for children. - To maintain and develop new skills, children should play the piano independently between lessons. - I will teach musical theory (reading music, rhythm, how songs are composed), musical literacy (musical chords/ scales, exercises) and songs (sight-reading, songs chosen by student) according to each student’s ability.

Nikos is an exceptional guitar teacher. With his expertise and passion, he has transformed my musical journey. His teaching style strikes the perfect balance between technical precision and artistic expression. Under his guidance, I have discovered a newfound confidence in my playing and a deep appreciation for music. Nikos goes above and beyond to support his students' growth, providing personalized attention and creating a nurturing learning environment. I highly recommend Nikos to anyone looking to elevate their guitar skills and ignite their love for music.

Usha is a world-class violinist and violin teacher! I studied from a young age and through college at a relatively high level, but had to put it down for many years once I started working. Usha has helped me relearn the fundamentals with good habits and regain confidence as a performing artist. I love how creatively she tackles complex problems, and how her violin lessons--though focused on music and technique--seem to involve big life lessons as well. I look forward to continuing to study with Usha!

Sam is an amazing teacher, patient and open to the student's goals and suggestions. His approach is more technical than theoretical but will nonetheless get anyone willing to learn up to speed on the basics into more advanced notions. He assessed what I was already able to do on the guitar to fill the gaps and help me progress into further fields. So far he's taught me the electric guitar, a bit of bass and piano and I'm very happy about all of it.
