Hello all! My name is Yiannis , I'm a third generation trombone player and I've been playing the trombone since 9 years of age. In 2017 I got my Trombone Diploma in Greece and since 2018 I have been studying Classical trombone at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, where I graduated from with a Bachelor's degree. I've had teaching experience from Greece and here alongside my bachelor's degree i acquired followed the minor in education. Teaching is really a very beautiful and enjoyable process from which both teacher and student learn a lot! I'm very passionate about music, and I'm able to teach you both classical trombone or pop if that's your cup of tea! I'm here to remind everyone that age is just a number and does not mean anything. Hi! My name is Zoë and I am an oboist. I have completed a Bachelor of Music at the Australian National University and am now starting my Master of Music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Den Haag. I love to share my passion for music with others, and in my lessons you will learn about music that interests you and most importantly, have fun! I have been teaching for six years. I have experience teaching all ages and abilities, in individual lesson environments, group lessons, reed making lessons, small ensemble tutoring, and orchestral tutoring. I have experience with all genres of classical music, and have a strong background in music theory, aural skills, musicology, and composition. Lessons with me will incorporate all skills involved to become a well rounded musician. Some of the highlights of my musical career so far have included being principal oboist and orchestral manager of the Australian National University Orchestra and performing E. Goossens' Oboe Concerto at their 2022 Concerto Gala, playing tutti oboe in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, principal oboe in the Australian Romantic and Classical Orchestra's Young Mannheim Symphonists Orchestra, and performing in the Olive Trio, a chamber music ensemble consisting of oboe, violin and harp, made up of members of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. Piano is surely amongst the most interesting instrument in the world for a simple reason: compared to the other instruments that are usually limited to one voice, piano uses the ten fingers at the same time, giving hundreds of possibilities of different voicings and harmony. I am a French student studying in the Hague. My passion has always been piano. I did 9 years in a French music academy where I finished the entire curriculum. I have been teaching piano to 4 students the two last years in London and I am willing to continue transmitting my passion now that I am in the Hague. I teach piano to people of all age, without omitting to mention a little bit of music theory so that students get a clear understanding of the instrument they are playing. All this in a fun way! For example, understanding and analyzing how modern tubes and hit songs are made is a fun way to learn music without necessarily using a more conventional method. My students can play whatever music they want, from classical pieces, to jazz themes, all the way to modern tic-toc songs, I always let them play what they want. The most important is to enjoy, this is the really key to progress.
