Looking for a new hobby? Maybe you’ve always wanted to play the guitar but never had the chance... Despite what many people may believe, learning the guitar does not require any previous knowledge or an innate sense of musicality. Like any other skill, it is something that can be developed. All that is needed is the motivation to learn and improve! Learning from a qualified and experienced teacher can help put you on the right path to acheiving your goals. A little about me: My name is Charles and I am a guitar teacher, living and working in Luxembourg. Prior to moving here, I was living in the UK where I studied for a 2 year qualification in Music Practice before going on to study Music Composition at university, with a specialization in Education. Over the years, I have taught students of all ages and levels of ability, making sure to tailor classes to their needs and interests.

The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. Whether you want to understand a particular aspect of music theory or If you struggle with music theory in general, then this is the class for you - why not give it a try?

My name is Denise and I am a professional singer and vocal coach with a Master’s degree in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). I have over 10 years of teaching experience in Europe and Latin America, working with students from diverse cultural and musical backgrounds in private lessons, artistic projects, and educational contexts. My artistic work includes early music and chamber repertoire, as well as Latin American folk, jazz, and contemporary crossover styles. This diversity strongly informs my teaching approach, which is flexible, stylistically open, and based on healthy vocal function.
