The guitar, from blues to flamenco, all its tricks and mysteries at your fingertips!!

The guitar, from blues to flamenco, all its tricks and mysteries at your fingertips!!

I offer classes tailored to each individual, depending on their goals and the desired musical aesthetic. As I always say, the important thing is to have fun with the instrument and pass it on to the listener. Having first learned different types of contemporary music such as blues and rock, I specialized in traditional flamenco, with its different styles (palos), its rhythms (compás), its very particular techniques that bring out this very characteristic guitar sound. With 5 years of experience as a teacher, I adapt my lessons to each student for optimal learning. During the first class, we define the areas of work and the methodology to be implemented to achieve your objectives and fully develop your potential. The course is designed for students from beginner to advanced level, and allows you to approach all the essential elements of playing the instrument in a fun way. For flamenco: - the rhythm (with the different types of compasses relating to each palo) - the characteristic techniques of flamenco guitar and their application through falsetas or exercises (rasgueos, arpeggios, thumb technique, tremolo, ligado, picado, ...) - the harmony of the different flamenco hats - the accompaniment of the song with its keys and codes - courses intended to accompany dance For blues and rock: - the rhythm and specific cadences - pick techniques - bending, hammer/pull-off effects, etc. - improvisation/composition of solos With my help, you will gain a deeper understanding of technique, rhythm, music theory, and most importantly, a deeper understanding of the instrument itself! All of these elements will allow you to feel freer when studying a piece or composing your own music.

Singing lessons for beginners and singers with some experience - Singing lessons for beginners and singers with some experience

Singing lessons for beginners and singers with some experience - Singing lessons for beginners and singers with some experience

In the singing lesson we start with learning basic theory about mindset, breathing, breath support,... For students with some experience in singing we go more into different types of singing, for example head voice, mixed voice, emotions while singing, microphone techniques,... Do you want specific tips for e.g. performances, music choices,...? This is certainly possible! I will look with you at what your needs are and what you would like to learn. We're not just going to look at the voice but also at 'How do I stand on stage?' or 'How do I reduce stress?' So I'm also going to look at the mental and emotional aspects. I will help you further based on all my musical baggage that I am currently expanding myself! I am super excited to get started with you and further develop our singing voice together. -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------- In the singing class we start by teaching basic theory about mindset, breathing, breath support,.... Do you want to play the violin but only manage to torture your spouse, your pets, and neighbors alike?

Do you want to play the violin but only manage to torture your spouse, your pets, and neighbors alike?

Are you drawn to the violin, but every time you play, the neighbors close their windows, your cat runs away, and your dog looks at you with a mixture of pity and terror? Good news for you, bad news for your cat and your dog! I'll teach you to play professionally and progressively, because you really want to learn and not just scrape strings with a waxed stick, wouldn't that be better? I offer in-person lessons at your home in Castellón and the surrounding area, regardless of your absolute skill level. You'll soon go from annoying your neighbors to having them leaning out the window to listen to you. I'm demanding but fair. I'm going to correct you directly and without being condescending. I respect your time, mine, and above all, your investment, because I'd rather you leave here playing than keep your money without you having learned anything. And let me be clear, if that happens, one of us will end up feeling like crap in a flip-flop, and spoiler alert: it won't be me. What I can guarantee is that if your effort, dedication, and consistency are genuine, you will learn. Even if your neighbors keep swearing you're stepping on the cat's tail every time you practice. Oh, and since you'll most likely be having the class at home, a sugar-free Americano is always a good idea. It's the only secret that isn't in the method. I work with a maximum of 10 students per month. I have a few places left.

Tuition in Violin/Viola Performance, Musicianship, Music Theory, and Music History

Tuition in Violin/Viola Performance, Musicianship, Music Theory, and Music History

Approach to Teaching – I favour a structured approach. I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catered to the student's specific needs. – Violin lessons tend to be carefully planned to focus on specific technical aspects of performance. To train musicality, I often teach this through the use of Kreutzer and Fiorillo etudes, Dont studies, and also pieces of repertoire catered to the student's musical interests and technical requirements. – I am open to considering student repertoire suggestions if they are particularly passionate about a certain piece. Lesson Structure – Typically violin lessons range in length from 30 minutes to an hour, but I am flexible: I am more than happy to devise a lesson structure that caters for a student's requirements. Credentials – I am a Musicology PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge. – I have worked as a private violin teacher for 7 years (since I was 17). I have taught a variety of students, from beginners starting their instrumental training, to more advanced performers looking to improve their technical facility and performance skills. – I have performed at West Road Concert Hall (University of Cambridge), The Lee Tseng Hall (Wolfson College Cambridge), Buxton International Festival, Manchester International Festival, and The Bridgewater Hall. – I have an extensive portfolio of performing credits on documentary films; recent highlights include the docuseries on Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein 'House of Maxwell' (BBC2, 2022), and 'Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In' (Netflix) (Passion Pictures / Universal Pictures) (2021). “ I recently started taking violin lessons from Christian. As someone who has 0 experience with the violin, or any other instrument for that matter, I was a bit nervous but excited. Despite my total lack of experience, Christian is incredibly patient, he never rushes me and always takes the time to answer my questions, no matter how basic. We started with the absolute basics, which is exactly what I needed. He finds a way to explain complicated things in a way that makes sense to me, which makes the whole process less intimidating. His teaching style is perfect for someone like me, coming into music with no background. I wholeheartedly recommend Christian to anyone who's been thinking about picking up the violin! His patience, expertise, insightfulness and supportive nature have made my start in music both enjoyable and fulfilling. Bonus points for speaking English. ”

“ My first lesson with Daniel was just what I wanted and more. Daniel made me feel very comfortable and let me play some music I had been working on. Then Daniel looked at all aspects of my playing in a thorough manner and signposted plans for future lessons. I was really wanting my technique to be reviewed thoroughly and Daniel did exactly this, in a very supportive and encouraging manner. It was incredible to hear the change to my playing Daniel helped me make within the hour. Looking forward to the next lesson! Many thanks! ”

“ Peyber is great as a violin tutor since he is very patient while teaching new techniques and gives practical tips on how to improve sounds and hand positions for the violin/bow. He takes additional work as his own responsibility and prepares extra material for the class in form of notes and music videos that help you learn and practice better. I totally recommend him for all your violin lessons and I look forward to more classes with him to improve my skills. Thanks a lot to Peyber ! ”
