Struggling with mathematics or looking for a tutor who can explain difficult concepts in a simple way? I’m here to help you build strong mathematical skills and confidence. I provide personalized 1-to-1 mathematics lessons designed around your current level, learning pace, and goals. Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for an exam, improving your problem-solving skills, or simply want to become more confident in mathematics, our lessons will focus on what you need most. What I can help you with: • Algebra and equations • Geometry • Arithmetic and basic mathematics • Functions and graphs • Problem-solving and logical reasoning • School mathematics and exam preparation • Homework and assignment support • Revision and concept clarification I believe mathematics becomes much easier when you understand why a method works instead of simply memorizing formulas. I break complex problems into smaller, easy-to-understand steps and use practical examples to make concepts clearer. Each lesson can be adapted to your needs. We can work on your weak areas, solve problems together, review previous topics, and gradually build your confidence. Book a lesson with me and let's make mathematics easier, one concept at a time.

MY BACKGROUND: I’m a teacher and tutor specialising in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, working with students across IB, MYP and IGCSE/GCSE curricula. I currently teach Science and IGCSE Physics at The British Online School, alongside my work as a private tutor supporting international students online. I also taught IB Diploma Chemistry and Physics and MYP Math at the International School of Bologna. My academic background spans Chemistry and Physics. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry and a PhD in Physics (Chemical Physics), and previously worked in academic and scientific research across Chemistry, Chemical Physics and Astrophysics. MY TUTORING: I provide individual online tutoring for students following IB, MYP and IGCSE/GCSE programmes, in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. My aim is to make the tutoring process structured and transparent: students should know what they are working on, why they are working on it, and what they need to do next. Tutoring does not necessarily begin with whatever chapter happens to be next in the textbook. When useful, I use diagnostic questions, previous tests, student work, discussions or self-assessment tools to identify areas that need attention. This can help distinguish between, for example: - a difficulty with the current topic; - an earlier knowledge gap that is causing problems now; - difficulty applying concepts to unfamiliar questions; - mathematical or problem-solving weaknesses; - exam technique or time-management issues. Lessons are adapted to the student and to what we are currently trying to achieve. A session might involve introducing a new concept, revisiting something that was not fully understood at school, analysing mistakes from a test, working through increasingly challenging problems, or preparing for an upcoming assessment. I generally place particular emphasis on understanding the reasoning behind a method rather than simply reproducing a procedure. For calculation- and problem-solving-based subjects, we also work on developing a systematic approach, while also reviewing all the mathematical skills relevant to the subject. As the student progresses, the balance can change. Some periods may require more explanation and consolidation; others may focus predominantly on independent problem solving and exam-style questions.
