Hi! I have a Masters in Mathematics Education from the University of Cambridge and am an experienced secondary school teacher. I graduated from Durham University with a first class honors degree in Mathematics and was awarded a scholarship award for academic excellence (top of class). In addition, I gained my teaching qualification from the University of Cambridge. I have eight years experience tutoring students from year 3 to A-level Further Mathematics, higher level International Baccalaureate and University Level Mathematics. I am passionate about teaching and helping young students fulfill their academic potential. I love teaching and tutoring. I find guiding student's through the learning process exceptionally rewarding and worthwhile. I am a patient, friendly and supportive Mathematics teacher and tutor. My teaching experience, empathetic and understanding approach to education and my knowledge of the subject makes me an outstanding educator. I have flexible teaching methods and quickly identify weaknesses and misunderstandings, allowing me to personalize the lessons to meet the needs of the student. I have a thorough knowledge of the examination boards and schemes of work. Whether its for exam preparation or continuous learning beyond the scope of the courses, I can provide Mathematical support and guidance. I currently work as a Mathematics teacher at an international school in Vietnam. I have had a lot of experience tutoring online via Skype/FaceTime/Google Hangouts/Zoom and have found it to be reliable and as good as face to face instruction. I am happy to tutor one to one or in a group. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Maths KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE tutoring/homework help/revisionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I can teach Maths at any level up to GCSE. I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2013 with an undergraduate degree in Experimental Psychology, and completed my Primary PGCE (Maths Specialism) at UCL in 2016. I am hard working, positive and committed to delivering the highest standard of teaching I can. I value an understanding of why and how Maths works, not just following and memorising procedures. I like to use a range of visual representations and discussions of problems, alongside traditional `sums`. This supports students to build a comprehensive understanding of mathematical concepts. As a tutor I aim to provide lessons that are as pupil-centred as possible. This means meeting the tutee at their current level of understanding, building on their existing knowledge and guiding them to work through tasks themselves. I want my students to develop the ability to think independently rather than just accept an enforced way of thinking. I also believe that it is very important for the tutor-tutee relationship to be friendly and open. In order for tutoring sessions to be effective, the tutee should always feel able to be honest about what they do and don`t understand. I aim to encourage this by creating a friendly, comfortable environment in which questions are encouraged, and the tutee is very welcome to contest anything they don`t agree with!
